  • Patent number: 8915243
Abstract: Thermal solar energy collector, in which a solar radiation absorption panel, inside which the heat-conducting fluid flows, is situated inside a parallelepipedal box, with an opening having a transparent cover at the front, which may be doubled so as to leave an atmospheric space in the middle. The rear wall of the box has a system of seals and reservoirs which are inset in the wall so that they accommodate the expansion and contraction of vertical tubes of the panel and horizontal connections by means of gentle changes in curvature of the tube bends and slight rotations of the reservoirs, with the addition of a system for filling the box with an inert gas, the pressure of which may be chosen from a range of between a thousandth of an atmosphere and one atmosphere, there being provided for this purpose an external gas circuit, with low- and high-pressure tanks, an intermediate compressor.

  • Patent number: 8899763
Abstract: A device for concentrating solar radiation (4) with longitudinal mirrors (7) and a longitudinal receiver (1), has mirrors with a circular cross-section with a radius of curvature that is twice the transverse distance from the center (35) of each mirror to the central point (3) of the receiver. The width of the receiver is 1% of the transverse distance from the central point to the center (89) of the furthest mirror (32). The width of each mirror is determined according to the drift of the rays reflected when the mirror focuses the sun, prescribing an equal width for all mirrors, which is: equal to the width of the active face (2) of the receiver when mounted according to the meridian; and triple the width of the active face (2) of the receiver when mounted according to the parallel of latitude. The mirrors are installed in a contiguous manner and the receiver is installed at a height on columns (8).

  • Publication number: 20140122063
Abstract: The invention consists of a method and computing system for recording and analyzing the voice which allows a series of parameters of phonation to be calculated. These transmit relevant information regarding effects caused by organic disorders (which affect the physiology of the larynx) or neurological disorders (which affect the cerebral centers of speech). The classification methods are also considered an essential part of the invention which allow estimations of the existing dysfunction to be obtained and for the allocation of personality. The usefulness of the invention lies in the possibility of applying the dysfunction estimation in primary care service centers for patient screening to specialist care centers, simplifying examination protocols, saving costs and reducing waiting lists. This methodology can also be used for detecting the personality of a speaker by their voice, allowing access to installations or services.

  • Publication number: 20130346446
Abstract: A continuous query parallel engine on data streams provides scalability and increases the throughput by the addition of new nodes. The parallel processing can be applied to data stream processing and complex events processing. The continuous query parallel engine receives the query to be deployed and splits the original query into subqueries, obtaining at least one subquery; each subquery is executed in at least in one node. Tuples produced by each operator of each subquery are labeled with timestamps. A load balancer is interposed at the output of each node that executes each one of the instances of the source subquery and an input merger is interposed in each node that executes each one of the instances of a destination subquery. After checks are performed, further load balancers or input managers may be added.

  • Publication number: 20130338942
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring the forces and the moments generated by the tire-road contact from the combination of unit deformation or strain signals measured in different angular and radial positions of the wheel. The angular positions in which the sensors are placed are those permitted by the geometry of the tire. The combination of deformation signals results in six or more signals that are independent of the angular position of the measuring sensors with respect to the tire-road contact point. The effect of temperature and loads that generate deformation signals that do not depend on said angular position of the measuring points, such as centrifugal forces, have been eliminated from the aforementioned signals. Said signals provide estimates of the loads by means of the resolution of two systems of linear equations with constant matrices and three unknowns each.

  • Publication number: 20130152914
Abstract: A receiver for a solar power plant with mirrors (7) and horizontal longitudinal receivers (1) includes a rotating shaft and axis of symmetry which (14) are parallel to a longitudinal axis of the radiation receiver. The receiver is formed by a balanced expansion and pressure collector, the tubes (19) of which are grouped in a separate central bundle (20) and adjacent bundles (21 and 22), thermally insulated from one another longitudinally. Heat transfer fluid circulates first through both adjacent bundles in parallel, to then be injected into the central bundle, where the radiation intensity received is greater because of receiving the radiation from the array of mirrors focused on the midline of the active face (2) of the receiver, each bundle of tubes being able to be covered by a separate (60, 61, 62) transparent window (28).

  • Patent number: 8435349
Abstract: A high throughput reactor for the mass production of wafers through chemical vapor deposition, mainly to form silicon epitaxies for the photovoltaic industry, is described. Main innovation is a high susceptor stacking density: several graphite susceptors are placed vertically and parallel to one another, electrically interconnected, and are heated by Joule effect. Electrical current gets to the susceptors from the current source through specially designed feedthroughs, which connect the cold room outside the deposition chamber with the hot susceptors. Gas flows vertically between susceptors. The substrates on which deposition occurs are placed on the susceptors. Below the susceptors a pre-chamber is found, in which entering gas calms down and distributes homogeneously. Susceptors and pre-chamber are placed inside a stainless steel chamber, which is internally covered by a reflecting material, and externally kept cold by water.
