Abstract: Sensing voltage based on a supplied to magneto-resistive random access memory (MRAM) bit cells in an MRAM for tracking write operations. Sensing voltage based on supply voltage applied to an MRAM bit cell in a write operation can be used to detect completion of magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) switching in an MRAM bit cell to terminate the write operation to reduce power and write times. In exemplary aspects provided herein, reference and write operation voltages sensed from the MRAM bit cell in response to the write operation are compared to each other to detect completion of MTJ switching of voltage based on the supply voltage applied to the MRAM bit cell regardless of whether the write operation is logic ‘0’ or logic ‘1’ write operation. This provides a higher sensing margin, because the change in MTJ resistance after MTJ switching completion is larger at the supply voltage rail.

Abstract: Ritanserin is shown to be an inhibitor of diacylglycerol kinase alpha (DGK?) and to be cytotoxic to glioblastoma and melanoma cells. Ritanserin treatment also provides chemo- and radiosensitization in cancer cells, prolonged survival in mouse models of glioblastoma, decreased melanoma tumor burden in mice, and shows synergistic cytotoxic effects with temozolomide and chloroquine, both singly and in combination. DGK? inhibition with ritanserin shows particular toxicity to the treatment-resistant mesenchymal subtype in glioblastoma and other cancers.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that implements a photonic neuron. This photonic neuron includes: an excitatory-input photo detector that converts an optical excitatory input signal into a corresponding electrical excitatory input signal; and an inhibitory-input photo detector that converts an optical inhibitory input signal into a corresponding electrical inhibitory input signal. It also includes an electrical neuron that receives the electrical excitatory and inhibitory input signals, and generates an electrical output signal, which includes periodic voltage spikes that are triggered by integration of the electrical excitatory and inhibitory input signals. Finally, the photonic neuron includes a light-emitting output device, which converts the electrical output signal into a corresponding optical output signal.

Abstract: Luminescent solar concentrators in accordance with various embodiments of the invention can be designed to minimize photon thermalization losses and incomplete light trapping using various components and techniques. Cadmium selenide core, cadmium sulfide shell (CdSe/CdS) quantum dot (“QD”) technology can be implemented in such devices to allow for near-unity QDs and sufficiently large Stokes shifts. Many embodiments of the invention include a luminescent solar concentrator that incorporates CdSe/CdS quantum dot luminophores. In further embodiments, anisotropic luminophore emission can be implemented through metasurface/plasmonic antenna coupling. In several embodiments, red-shifted luminophores are implemented. Additionally, top and bottom spectrally-selective filters, such as but not limited to selectively-reflective metasurface mirrors and polymeric stack filters, can be implemented to enhance the photon collection efficiency.
