Abstract: This invention proposes a method for part mobility prediction based on a static snapshot. This part mobility prediction method consists of several steps: constructing mobility units from each 3D model in a set of 3D models with parts segmented according to their motion and grouping all of the mobility units according to their motion type; computing snapshot descriptors for every static snapshot in a mobility unit; learning a snapshot-to-unit distance measure for every motion types of the mobility units; getting the most similar mobility unit and its motion type for a query snapshot by using the snapshot-to-unit distance measure to select with the minimum distance value; generating multiple motion candidates for a query static snapshot according to the achieved mobility unit and its motion type, sampling the generated motion and getting the best motion parameter for the query snapshot. This invention can predict the part mobility from a static snapshot of an object.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of methods for encoding, decoding, and matching patterns in collections of signals. These methods use weighting functions to scale the signals. This scaling enables the use of signals of arbitrary duration, wherein the signals may include discrete sequences and spike trains. In the most general case, the signals can be represented using functionals, which extends the expressive power of the methods. Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a system that performs these methods.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides nucleic acid compositions that incorporate one or more halouracil molecules. More specifically, the present disclosure reveals that the replacement of uracil nucleotides within a microRNA nucleotide sequence with a 5-halouracil increases the ability of the micro-RNA to inhibit cancer progression and tumorigenesis. As such, the present disclosure provides various nucleic acid (e.g., microRNA) compositions having 5-halouracil molecules incorporated in their nucleic acid sequences and methods for using the same. The present disclosure further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the modified nucleic acid compositions, and methods for treating cancers using the same.
