Abstract: This application relates to methods for overcoming or preventing resistance of a KRAS mutant cancer cell to a growth inhibition and/or cell death induction by a KRAS inhibitor or a SHP2 inhibitor, as well as to methods for enhancing sensitivity of a KRAS mutant cancer cell to a KRAS inhibitor or a SHP2 inhibitor. The application further relates to methods of treating a KRAS mutant cancer in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a KRAS inhibitor or a SHP2 inhibitor and an inhibitor of expression or function or a degrader or a binding partner of one or more of various proteins described herein. Related pharmaceutical compositions and kits are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided are circular RNAs (circRNAs) encoding an antigenic polypeptide of a SARS-CoV-2 variant. Provided are circRNA vaccines against a SARS-CoV-2 variant, such as a Delta or Omicron variant. Abstract: A system infers continuous potential energy landscapes, including barrier heights and friction coefficients, from smFRET data without the need to discretely approximate a state-space. The system operates within a Bayesian nonparametric paradigm by placing priors on the family of all possible potential curves, and leverages a Structured-Kernel-Interpolation Gaussian Process prior to help curtail computational cost. The system enables decoding information about continuous energy potential landscapes along a continuous coordinate for biological interactions (e.g., protein folding and binding) using a single dataset, including rarely visited barriers between putative potential minima. As such, the system allows resolution enhancement for probing biophysical systems to obtain deeper insight into protein folding, protein binding, and the physics of molecular motors.

Abstract: A safety-critical control system and method with train-time calibration of object detection. A controller calibrates prediction by a deep neural network. The train-time calibration includes a multi-class confidence calibration, and a bounding box localization calibration. The controller outputs a calibrated image with the object bounding box, the corresponding class label, and a respective confidence score. The confidence score is a probability associated with the predicted class label. The multi-class confidence calibration is determined as a difference between a fused mean confidence and a certainty with accuracy. The fused mean confidence is between a mean logits-based class-wise confidence and class wise certainty. The controller determines the localization calibration by determining a deviation between a predicted mean bounding box overlap and a predictive certainty of the bounding box.

Abstract: A method for recovering a protein from a surimi-rinsing liquid based on a low-temperature plasma technology is provided. The method includes: collecting fish flesh, and chopping the fish flesh to obtain surimi; adding the surimi to water, mixing for rinsing, centrifuging to collect a supernatant, which is the surimi-rinsing liquid; adjusting an input power of a plasma device to 300 W to 800 W, placing a spray gun of the plasma device below a liquid level of the surimi-rinsing liquid, turning on a power supply, and exciting plasma with air as a gas source, such that the plasma acts evenly on the surimi-rinsing liquid for 2 min to 6 min; and allowing the low-temperature plasma treated surimi-rinsing liquid to stand in an environment with a temperature of 10° C. or lower, centrifuging to collect a precipitate, such that the recovery of the protein from the surimi-rinsing liquid is completed.
