  • Publication number: 20130258844
Abstract: Method and arrangement in a first node for requesting a status report from a second node. The first node and the second node are both comprised within a wireless communication network. The status report comprises positive and/or negative acknowledgement of data sent from the first node, to be received by the second node. The first node comprises a first counter configured to count the number of transmitted Protocol Data Units, PDUs, and a second counter configured to count the number of transmitted data bytes. The method and arrangements comprises initialising the first and the second counter to zero, transmitting data to be received by the second node, comparing the value of the first and the second counters with a first threshold limit value and a second threshold limit value and requesting a status report from the second node if any of the threshold limit values is reached or exceeded.

  • Patent number: 8548454
Abstract: A method for reducing the number of unsuccessful service change attempts of a first mobile terminal is presented. The mobile terminal (1, 1a, 1b, 420) is connectable via a mobile network to a further terminal by establishing a call connection for providing a first service or by establishing a call connection for providing a second service. The method comprises the following steps performed by the first mobile terminal (1, 1a, 1b, 420): receiving (S21) a first indication signal (202) indicating that a service change towards the second service is temporarily unavailable from a mobile network node (31, 310) administrating an established call connection for providing the first service, and in response to receiving the first indication signal (202) refraining (S22) from requesting a service change towards the second service until reception of a further indication signal (204) from the mobile network node (31, 310) indicating that a service change is available again.

  • Publication number: 20130229962
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement of efficiently utilizing radio resources in a communication network, comprising a communication network node transmitting information on shared control channels (SCCH) to one or more user equipments. The information is transmitted over either a narrow or a wide bandwidth depending on which mode said one or more user equipments are, either a power saving mode or an active mode.

  • Publication number: 20130215800
Abstract: A filter arrangement comprises a first terminal that handles duplex radio antenna feeder signals for at least two transceiver modules, a second terminal that handles at least duplex signals for a first transceiver module, a third terminal that outputs a first multi carrier power amplifier system input signal, the input signal representing a transmit signal from the first transceiver module, and a fourth terminal that receives a multi carrier power amplifier system output signal. The output signal includes an amplified representation of the transmit signals from the two transceiver modules. The first and second terminals are connected via first a single filter, the second and third terminals are connected via a second single filter, and the fourth and first terminals are connected via a third single filter.

  • Patent number: 8477608
Abstract: A method is described for controlling the conformance of a data flow in a communication system to a traffic definition. The communication system comprises a transmitter and a receiver and data packets transporting the data flow are sent from the transmitter to the receiver. The receiver sends responses identifying received data packets to the transmitter, and the transmitter comprises a control function which controls the number of sent data packets for which no response is received according to a limit for the number of outstanding data packets. A conditioning criterion is obtained for the data flow, the conditioning criterion being associated with the traffic definition. The receiver determines a conformance parameter for the received data packets transporting the data flow. The limit and/or the sending of the responses is modified according to the conditioning criterion and the determined conformance parameter for controlling the number of transmitted data packets.
