  • Patent number: 8541954
Abstract: A first energy ratio A/B of a first alternating current of a steady frequency supplied to a lamp is set to a value C, when the lamp is horizontally placed. A second alternating current of a lower frequency, whose second energy ratio A/B is set to the value C, is inserted. When the lamp is vertically placed, a first energy ratio A?/B? is set to the value C or a value D, which is smaller than the value C. A second ratio A?/B? is set to the value D or a value E, which is lower than the value C. A and A? each represents an energy that flows from a first electrode of a pair of electrodes of the lamp to a second electrode of the pair. B and B? each represents an energy that flows from the second electrode to the first electrode.

  • Publication number: 20130240766
Abstract: Relating to a solenoid used as a solenoid valve, a holding circuit and the like for suppressing the occurrence of back electromotive force, and preventing magnetic flux density from deterioration, without a major change of the conventional circuit constitution, is provided. A capacitor is connected in parallel with a resistance which is connected in series to a solenoid. The solenoid is driven at rated voltage by making a first switch and a second switch ON state and the solenoid is kept at holding voltage by making the first switch OFF state. The capacitor slows down the speed of change of applied voltage to the solenoid from the rated voltage to the holding voltage so that the back electromotive force of the solenoid is absorbed, which prevents the extinguishment of magnetic flux density.

  • Publication number: 20130162955
Abstract: A coherent light source apparatus includes a coherent light source, a first optical system, a light deflection unit, a second optical system and a light mixing unit disposed in that order. The coherent light source forms a first light emission region, and light projected therefrom forms a second light emission region near the light deflection unit, which deflects light flux from the second light emission region. The second optical system forms a third light emission region which is conjugate to the second light emission region near an input end of the light mixing unit, which mixes angle and a position components of incident light. The light deflection unit is configured to continuously changing a direction in which the light flux is deflected, thereby reducing speckling in light emitted from the light mixing unit.
