Abstract: A connector and cabling system is provided. The system includes a plurality of pigtails, each pigtail of the plurality of pigtails are configured to couple to one of a plurality of electronic devices, wherein each electronic device of the plurality of electronic devices has a corresponding box or package. The system includes a cable and a plurality of first connectors. Each first connector of the plurality of first connectors is configured to extend through and attach to a wall of a box or opening of the package with a first port of the first connector inside the box. The first port is coupled to the pigtail, and a second port of the first connector outside the box or package. The second port is coupled to the cable. The plurality of electronic devices is provisioned via the cable, the plurality of first connectors and the plurality of pigtails, with each of the plurality of electronic devices, in the corresponding box or package. A method of preparing electronic devices for shipping is also provided.

Abstract: A system for determining when to order computing resources includes one or more processors to receive a request to determine when to order computing resources for a computing environment, receive at least one report for the computing environment, the report detailing past usage of at least one object included in the computing environment over a period of time, compute future usage of the at least one object included in the computing environment based on estimated growth of utilization of the at least one object included in the computing environment using data in the at least one usage report, determine at least one recommended reorder point for an upgrade to the at least one object and at least one recommended upgrade for the computing environment based on the past usage, the future usage, and a time to complete and deploy the at least one recommended upgrade to the computing environment.

More particularly, the disclosure involves a system that automatically packages two virtual machines, a console virtual machine and a template virtual machine, in a virtual application. The template virtual machine initiates communication with the console virtual machine to generate multiple virtual machine instances.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a tiered scheme of quality of service settings for ports of a network switch based at least on a performance metric of a storage pool of a software defined storage (SDS) appliance. In one particular embodiment, a network switch associated with one or more storage appliances may be configured to apply the networking tiered scheme to the ports of the network switch. The tiered scheme may be associated with a storage tier assigned or associated with a storage pool of the SDS system. Thus, a networking tier may be provided to one or more ports or networking components of the network if those ports or components are associated with the storage tier. The particular networking tier associated with a port or component may determine one or more quality of service settings applied to the port or component.

Abstract: A integrated computing system compliance management system includes a computer-based system to obtain an integrated computing system object instance of an integrated computing system that is generated from an object model comprising a unified entity representing the integrated computing system. The integrated computing system object instance has multiple hierarchally arranged sub-object instances representing hierarchally arranged resources of the integrated computing system. The system receive security hardening policies associated with an established security hardening standard, modify those sub-object instances to include the security hardening policies that are associated with those sub-object instances to form a security hardening-based object instance. Using the security hardening-based object instance, the system determines, for each security hardening policy, whether the configuration of the resources meets the security hardening policy using the security hardening-based object instance.

One method for command engine execution includes receiving free-form information for requesting or modifying information about a computing system. The method also includes identifying a portion in the free-form information that is unsupported by a command engine. The method further includes converting, using a grammar module that supports the portion, the free-form information into at least one compatible command for interacting with at least one data set. The method also includes requesting or modifying the information about the computing system by interacting with the at least one data set using the at least one compatible command.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for selecting and configuring a computing system to support a replicated application are disclosed. According to one example, a method includes capturing resource availability data associated with a plurality of computing systems, wherein each of the plurality of computing systems resides at a separate and distinct geographical site. The method further includes determining, for each of the plurality of computing systems, a suitability score based on the captured resource availability data and at least one external factor associated with the computing system, selecting one of the plurality of computing systems to host the replicated application based on the determined suitability scores, and establishing a logical environment on the selected computing system to support the enterprise application.

Abstract: A branding device includes a housing, a faceplate, a backlit recess within the housing, housing retention features, and faceplate retention features. The branding device is configured to be installed within a corresponding recess of a panel, such that the faceplate can be removed and replaced without requiring replacement of the entire branding device. To update the branding information of the branding device, the faceplate retention features must be disengaged from the rear of the branding device, the faceplate is then removed, and a faceplate with updated branding information is then installed.

Abstract: An operations management system includes a processing system and a memory for storing a resource discovery and capture engine, which is executed by the processing system to discover one or more resources associated with an application in a distributed computing environment in which the one or more resources define a platform for execution of the application, and collect resource configuration information for each of the discovered resources. The resource configuration information comprising data sufficient to replicate the platform to another platform for execution of the application. Once the resource configuration information is collected, the engine generates an application deployment plan that includes the collected resource configuration information.

Abstract: An integrated computing system configuration system includes a computing system that executes an application to receive one or more user selected design elements (DEs) associated with a customized integrated computing system configuration in which each user selected DE includes abstracted information of a component used in a customized integrated computing system represented by the customized integrated computing system configuration. The application may then obtain an integrated computing system template representing a standardized integrated computing system product configuration, combine the user selected DEs with the established DEs to form the customized integrated computing system configuration, determine whether the customized integrated computing system configuration comprises a valid integrated computing system configuration, and generate a report indicating the results of the determination.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for automatically assessing and mitigating operational risks associated with using a software component in a software application. As a part of a method, one or more software components of the software application is accessed and software component characteristic information is received about each of the one or more software components, responsive to the accessing. The software component characteristic information includes information about a characteristic of a software component that is related to an operational risk associated with using the software component in the software application. Responsive to receiving the software component characteristic information, and based on the software component characteristic information, operational risk assessment information is generated using one or more rules. The generated operational risk assessment information is outputted where at least one step of the method is performed by a processor.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for thermal management provide conditioned air from an inlet of an electronics cabinet to a rear-mounted interface device using an enclosure mounted in the electronics cabinet. The enclosure is laterally expandable in order to make installation easier and to enable installation of the enclosure between electronics cabinets of several mounting widths. The enclosure is installed to an internal surface of the mounting rails of the electronics cabinet so that the interface devices are mounted directly to the mounting rails, so the enclosure does not support the mass of the interface devices.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve system and methods for the automatic prediction and offering of cloud computing services to end users. The disclosed systems generate a predictive cloud service offering that is presented to end users via an interface, such as a graphical-user interface. The predictive cloud services may be consumed by the end-users to support various workloads.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve an apparatus, device, component, and/or method for a networking component for use in creating a virtual secured point-of-sale (POS) transaction over a network. In one embodiment, the networking component is a virtual router that is located logically between a retailer and a payment processing company for processing a POS transaction. To facilitate the POS transaction, the virtual router communicates with one or more virtual private networks (VPNs) to establish secured communication tunnels over which information and network traffic may be broadcast that prevent unauthorized access to the information from an outside source or third party. In this manner, a secured end-to-end security communication tunnel (including encryption of the transmitted data) may be created over a network from the originating point of sale (retailer) to the payment processing company.

Abstract: A tenant-based distributed computing environment management system includes a service that is executed on a computing system to allocate a subset of the resources for use by each of a plurality of tenants, and generate a plurality of tags for each resource in the subset in which each tag includes tenant information associated with the tenant to whom the subset of resources are allocated. The service may then identify, for at least one of the tenants, the subset of resources allocated to the tenant, and transmit information associated with the identified subset of resources to a computing device of the tenant.
