Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a capacity management system includes an application that is executable by a computing unit to monitor a consumption level of a computing resource, and identify each instance in which the consumption level crosses beyond at least one specified threshold level. Each instance defines a usage event which is then stored in the storage medium by the application. Each usage event is then stored in a computer-readable storage medium.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for testing a software component by simulating a computing component interface using captured network packet information. A method may include receiving a service request comprised of one or more network packets from a software component to be tested. Responsive to receiving the service request, the method may access a data store of captured network packet information and determine that a matching service request is stored in the accessed data store. The matching service request may be comprised of one or more network packets that match the service request. The method may identify an associated response that is stored in the accessed data store. The associated response may be one or more network packets that are stored in association with the matching service request. The method then sends the associated response to the first software component.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for providing extensibility of one or more APIs of a computing system management interface to allow a user of the management interface to dynamically generate new interfaces for data attributes from one or more underlying hardware components of the computing system. In one particular embodiment, a management interface is configured to receive a configuration file from a user of the system through a user interface. The configuration file may define or otherwise indicate a type of API utilized by the management interface to communicate with components of the computing system and receive information concerning those components. The configuration file may also cause the management interface to update the identified API according to the update. By dynamically updating the number and type of APIs utilized by the management interface, the user may obtain information concerning the components of the computing system otherwise not previously available.

Abstract: An integrated computing system configuration system includes a computing system that executes an application to receive a customized integrated computing system configuration having multiple design elements (DEs) that are associated with multiple components of a customized integrated computing system. The application may then, for at least DE, determine whether one or more other DEs in the customized integrated computing system configuration meet a specified criteria associated with the at least one DE, and when at least one of the other DEs does not meet the specified criteria such that the customized integrated computing system configuration comprises a invalid configuration, correct the invalid configuration by modifying one or more of the other DEs such that the customized integrated computing system configuration comprises a valid configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for managing computing systems by a management orchestration module. An example method includes determining that a projected computing load placed on a management computing system by one or more existing tenant computing systems and a new tenant computing system exceeds a threshold computing load, and in response, configuring the new tenant computing system as a remote tenant of the management computing system by deploying remote management software onto the new tenant computing system.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for determining a system performance indicator representative of the overall operation of a network system are disclosed. According to one example, a method includes receiving an application workload for deployment into a network environment including a plurality of converged infrastructures and determining an overall deployment optimization score for each of the plurality of converged infrastructures. The method further includes determining a component optimization score for each of a plurality of compute components in a converged infrastructure belonging to the plurality of converged infrastructures that is associated with the highest overall deployment optimization score and deploying the application workload to a compute component belonging to the plurality of compute components that is associated with the highest component optimization score.

Abstract: An application alerting system includes a computing system that executes an application alerting service monitor at least one of multiple computing resources configured in a computing infrastructure to determine whether the one monitored computing resource experiences a failure. When a failure is detected, the service transmits a failure notification to applications associated with the failed monitored computing resource such that the application may perform at least one remedial action according to the received failure notification.

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to devices, systems, and methods for organizing and aggregating cables. In one aspect, a cable management device is provided in which a plurality of cable clips are coupled to a connector bar. In this arrangement, the plurality of cable clips are held at unique positions with respect to one another along a length of the connector bar and can be configured to receive and hold one or more cables in similarly unique positions with respect to one another.

Abstract: A provisioning system for a distributed computing environment includes a map reduce framework that includes a splitter process, a mapper process, and a reduce process. The splitter process receives a task associated with a distributed application to be deployed on the distributed computing environment, and selects which of the resources are to be provisioned for executing the distributed application. The mapper process converts at least one abstract address included in the task to an absolute address, and executes the task for provisioning the selected resources, while the reduce process consolidates results of the executed task.

Abstract: An integrated computing system configuration system includes a computing system that executes an engine select a plurality of component specifications associated with corresponding components to be implemented in a customized integrated computing system, and for each selected component, abstract the component specification according to its functionality to create a component classification, and validate the component classification according to its interoperability with other component specifications to create a validated component. The engine may then apply one or more rules to at least one of the validated components to verify that the customized integrated computing system meets one or more architectural standards, and when at least one of the rules are not met, perform one or more remedial operations such that the at least one rule is met.

Abstract: An application deployment system includes a computing device that stores computing infrastructure (CI) information associated with a computing infrastructure to be deployed in a portable memory structure, wherein the portable memory structure is physically associated with the computing infrastructure to be deployed. When the computing infrastructure is transported to the deployment site, the computing device receives the stored application configuration information from a portable communication device that has previously obtained the stored application configuration information from the portable memory structure, obtains one or more applications to be installed on the computing infrastructure according to the received application configuration information, and transmits the applications to the portable communication device, wherein the portable communication device downloads the applications to the computing infrastructure for being installed on the computing infrastructure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for managing infrastructure elements in a network system are disclosed. According to one example, the method includes establishing, for an application managed by a system administrator, an application control configuration that designates administrative access to infrastructure elements supporting a plurality of workload services that executes the application. The method further includes detecting a modification to the application that causes one or more of the workload services to be transferred to at least one auxiliary infrastructure element and updating, in response to the detected modification, the application control configuration such that the administrative access is revised to enable the system administrator to manage each of the infrastructure elements supporting the workload services executing the modified application.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve an apparatus, device, component, and/or method for management of port assignments of networking devices connected to a network and reference materials associated with the port assignments. In one embodiment, a reference material is provided that illustrates the port assignments for one or more networking devices. The reference material may include a full-color illustration of the network device and a port label near each communication port of the network device. The port label may include a description of the port, a port reference number, and a color-coded reference that provides a quick indication of the type of traffic associated with the port. In addition, one embodiment of the present disclosure may automatically populate the reference material based on information obtained from a network administrator or from the network itself.

According to one method, the method includes, at a credential management module (CMM) associated with a converged infrastructure system (CIS), establishing communication with at least one or more converged infrastructure elements (CIEs) included in a CIS. The method further includes receiving a credential policy corresponding to each of the at least one or more CIEs and generating credential information in accordance with the received credential policy.

Abstract: A computing environment provisioning system includes a processing system and a memory for storing a locking service that is executed by the processing system to receive multiple provisioning requests from one or more provisioning scripts for provisioning multiple resources to be provided by one or more physical hosts or one or more virtual objects of a computing environment in which at least one resource being dependent upon operation of one or more of the other resources. The locking service may then identify the other resources that are required to be provisioned prior to the dependent resource being provisioned, and inhibit provisioning of the dependent resource until the other resources have been successfully provisioned.

The method further includes receiving, by the orchestration layer manager, installation requirement information from the application via the mediation API and establishing, in the virtual environment, one or more supporting virtual machines respectively configured to host at least one supporting application specified by the installation requirement information.
