Abstract: A cable alarm system is provided that includes: a lock; a cable coupled to the lock and operative to conduct a current; a secondary wire coupled to the lock and parallel to the cable and operative to conduct a current; a current detector coupled to the cable and the secondary wire, operative to detect an interruption of a current in at least one of the cable and the secondary wire; a battery operative to supply power to the current detector; an alarm coupled to the current detector and receiving power from the battery; and a heat sensor coupled to the cable and the secondary wire.

Abstract: A power cable having a commonly configured interface at either end of the cable is provided. The power cable is used to connect a power source to a power inverter or to provide power from the power inverter to a device. The power cable has two ends each provided with a commonly configured interface. The commonly configured interface may be a plug or a plug receptacle. A plurality of different adapters for various power sources or devices may be coupled to the commonly configured interface. The adapters may be provided with a corresponding interface that plugs into or is received by the commonly configured interface at an end of the cable.

Abstract: The flashlight comprises a housing defining a recess therein. The light sources are disposed in the housing. A first light source is fixably attached to the housing. The first light source is preferably arranged at a front end of the housing. A second light source is arranged in the recess. The second light source is adapted to pivot and extend from the recess. The second light source preferably extends longitudinally along the length of the housing. The recess may extend through the housing such that light from the second light source projects from opposite sides of the housing when the second light source is disposed within the recess.

Abstract: A battery powered portable device comprises an alert radio for receiving an alert broadcast signal. The portable device further includes a battery compartment for one or more rechargeable batteries that power the alert radio. A dynamo electrically coupled to the battery compartment of the portable device charges the one or more batteries, where the dynamo includes a hand crank that generates battery charge energy when rotated.

Abstract: A controller for controlling a voltage applied to a load from a power source includes a square wave producing circuit for connection in the circuit with the battery and the lamp. The square wave producing circuit produces a variable duty cycle square wave for controlling application of power to the load in accordance with the duty cycle of the square wave. The square wave producing circuit has a control input for varying the duty cycle of the square wave in response to a voltage at the control input. A voltage varying circuit is connected to the power source for producing a selectively variable voltage that is fed to the control input of the square wave producing circuit for selectively adjusting the duty cycle of the square wave.

Abstract: An audio device comprises a satellite receiver for receiving an audio signal via a receive antenna. A transmitter transmits the audio signal to an external receiver via a transmit antenna for remote rendering of the audio signal. A cup-shaped housing encloses the satellite receiver and the transmitter.
