Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for local DVR scheduling conflict management (hereinafter, “SCM”). SCM systems allow for automatic organization, prioritization, and conflict resolution for multiple scheduled recording specifications. Conflicting scheduled recordings may be re-organized based on single-stage and/or multi-stage conflict resolution procedures. Embodiments of SCM systems may also implement weighted conflict resolution, wherein user preferences and/or prioritizations may be assigned to scheduled recordings and considered in the re-organization of conflicting recordings.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a radial configuration of time based information and a graphical object representative of an event are displayed together in a graphical user interface. A position of the graphical object relative to the radial configuration of time based information in the graphical user interface is configured to indicate a relationship between the event and the time based information. In certain embodiments, the radial configuration of time based information includes a visual representation of an analog clock face, and the graphical object includes a tab positioned along a perimeter of the analog clock face. In certain embodiments, the radial configuration of time based information includes a visual representation of a timeline spirally disposed about at least one axis point, and the graphical object is positioned along a section of the timeline.

Abstract: A system and method for comparative analysis of tickets and/or dispatches including a receiver, at a baseline engine, configured to receive data associated with at least one of a product and a service corresponding to one or more tickets or dispatches, a processor, at the baseline engine, configured to generate baseline information based on the data, wherein the baseline information represents a comparative analysis of the at least one of a product and a service, and a transmitter, at the baseline engine, configured to transmit the baseline information to an output device for assessing the at least one product and service.

Abstract: A method performed by a user device includes displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) on a touch screen, where the GUI includes a stack having a plurality of items. Each of the plurality of items is at least partially exposed to permit selection by a user, and each of the plurality of items includes content or provides access to content. The method further includes detecting an area of the touch screen that is touched by an instrument, and determining whether the touched area corresponds to an area of the stack or an area of one of the plurality of items. The method also includes determining a gesture corresponding to the touched area, performing an operation, corresponding to the gesture, on the stack or on the one of the plurality of items, and displaying, on the touch screen, content associated with the operation.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide a computer implemented system and method that may integrate both sales and service functions of a customer service representative on a desktop user interface. A comprehensive set of customer service goals derived from a large sample of actual customer calls may be empirically identified. Desired customer sales goals may be integrated into the comprehensive list of service goals. The integrated set of service and sales goals may be presented in a user interface. A recommendation engine, to present in highlighted form, which subset of goals a customer service representative should pursue with a given customer, when to pursue them, and for how long, may be incorporated. A delineation of a step-by-step process (using “wizards” or “assistants”) may be provided for each goal.

Abstract: A text/voice system comprises a device configured to receive an incoming voice call intended for a called party, and detect, in response to receiving the voice call, the current status of the called party on a text messaging system, where the current status may include active or inactive. The device is also configured to establish a communication session between the calling party and the called party via the text messaging system, where speech from the calling party is translated to text and delivered to the called party during the communication session, and responsive text from the called party is translated to speech and delivered as speech to the calling party during the communication session.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a first user device associated with a user profile, a first request for a media file and streaming the media file over a network to the first user device in a first format appropriate for the first device. The method may also include stopping the streaming of the media file and associating a stop time with the stopping, wherein the stop time indicates a position in the media file and receiving, from a second user device different from the first user device, a second request for the media file, the second user device being associated with the user profile. The method may also include streaming, starting at the stop time, the media file over the network to the second user device in a second format appropriate for the second device and different than the first format.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a video client, interactive television content that permits a customer to select from two or more television shows competing for a timeslot, displaying, by the video client, the interactive television content on a display, receiving, by the video client, a selection of one of the two or more television shows to watch, and determining, by the video client, based on the interactive television content, whether the one of the two or more television shows selected is to be re-mapped to a channel number that is different than a channel number in which the interactive television content is displayed. The method further includes displaying, by the video client, the one of the two or more television shows on the display.

Abstract: A system is described that includes a keyboard and a computing device running telecommunications management software in connection with a call control facility through wide area data network. The keyboard includes a plurality of dedicated telephone control input devices which correspond to an advanced telephony feature provided through the telecommunications management software. A device driver within the computing device allows operation of the dedicated telephone control input devices to be detected and associated functions of the telecommunications management software to be executed.

Abstract: A system including an IP device configured to provide registration data, a Service Bureau configured to store location information of the IP device and provide routing data based on location information of the IP device, location server configured to receive registration data from the IP device, and location database configured to store location information of the IP device, wherein the location server queries the location database to determine whether the registration data matches the location information stored at the location database.

Abstract: A method for revenue management using location based services includes setting a static offering price of an offered product and monitoring a geographic sales region for at least one potential customer. The offering price may be optimized into a targeted price based on at least one dynamic attribute of the one potential customer and distributed to the at least one potential customer. A system for implementing the disclosed method includes a communication network, at least one communication device operable therewith and associated with a potential customer, and a processor configured to communicate with the communication device using the communication network that has a computer readable medium including instructions for controlling the processor.

ECS systems implement a live call screening application whereby users may hear voicemail messages in real time as they are being recorded, decide whether or not they wish to talk to the caller leaving the message, and engage the caller in two-way communications by indicating interest in doing so.

The method may further include receiving a request for a list of events or a list of venues from a user device and obtaining, from the user device, a profile of a user of the user device. Abstract: A graphical mapping system configured to display mapping information on a handheld device is disclosed. The system includes an image map database configured to store map data for a plurality of geographic areas, which is useful for generating graphical maps. The system further includes a vector map database configured to store vector map data, which is useful for generating vector “overlays” that correspond to the graphical maps. In response to a mapping request from a handheld device, a set of image mapping data and a corresponding set of vector mapping data, both associated with a given geographic location, are retrievable.
