Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for a customer satisfaction engine (CSE). Embodiments of the CSE allow callers to key in customer satisfaction data using a rating system and/or to change customer service representatives (CSR) during the course of a customer service call rather than after the call has ended. Caller generated ratings may be stored in a database in association with the respective CSR profile for later access, analysis, and/or review. CSE embodiments may also allow customers to log in to a website and view operations made by the CSR as a service call progresses. CSE systems may provide for improved customer service and allow companies improved efficiency, monitoring and reporting of CSR performance.

Abstract: An approach is provided for the self-provisioning of a feature corresponding to multiple media devices (e.g., set-top boxes). A request to provision a feature on a plurality of set-top boxes is received. It is determined whether the feature is compatible with each of the set-top boxes. The feature is automatically provisioned based on the request and the determination.

Abstract: A computing device presents, on a screen, a three-dimensional rendering of an interface cube that includes a representation of a user's contacts displayed on at least one surface of the interface cube. The computing device receives a communication item from a peripheral application, where the communication item is associated with a particular contact of the user's contacts. The computing device creates a graphic based on the communication item and displays the graphic at a location on the representation of the user's contacts that corresponds to the location of the particular contact within a sequence of the user's contacts.

Abstract: Content may be displayed on a touch-screen display of a device as part of a graphical interface in which the content is divided into categories or sections, and each category/section is associated with a graphical tab. The device may detect a selection of one of the graphic tabs based on a touch gesture received by the touch-screen display and display, on the touch-screen display, content items corresponding to the subset of content items for the selected tab.

Abstract: A computing device-implemented method includes displaying a receding timeline configured to fade back toward a horizon, the receding timeline including a starting point at a current time that is updated with a changing time. The method further includes receiving a time-related item from a peripheral application and creating a graphic based on the time-related item. The method also includes displaying the graphic at the starting point of the receding timeline and reducing the graphic size proportionally with the changing time of the receding timeline.

Abstract: An exemplary computing system may receive input identifying a first data source. The computing system may also provide a widget template and receive a request to associate the first data source with the widget template. The computing system may create a map that associates the first data source with the widget template. The computing system may provide a widget that displays, based on the map and the widget template, data from the data source. Corresponding methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying visual content to a user corresponding to sound captured at a user terminal are disclosed. After receiving over a network from a user terminal a request to convert sound into a visual content representing the sound, wherein the sound comprises one or more words, a translation server may retrieve text corresponding to the one or more words from a database. The translation server may then convert the text into one or more content phrases, wherein the content phrases represent the meaning of the one or more words, and convert each of the one or more content phrases into a new language. Finally, the translation server may send visual content to the user terminal representing the new language.

Abstract: In an exemplary method, communications data representative of communication instances of distinct types is converged and a graphical user interface (“GUI”) including a set of listings representative of a grouping of the communication instances of distinct types is displayed. In certain embodiments, at least one of the communication instances represented in the set of listings includes a voice type communication instance. In certain embodiments, a user selection of one of the listings displayed in the GUI is detected, the selected listing associated with a contact, and another set of listings representative of another grouping of converged communication instances of distinct types is displayed in response to the user selection. In certain embodiments, each of the communication instances in the other grouping is associated with the contact. In certain embodiments, the other set of listings is displayed as a subset within the set of listings in the GUI.

Abstract: A mobile communication device displays, via a display, an audio waveform associated with a voicemail received by the mobile communication device, and receives selection and sustained contact with the audio waveform from a user associated with the mobile communication device. The device also enlarges a portion of the audio waveform based on the sustained contact with the audio waveform, and displays, via the display, the enlarged portion of the audio waveform. The device further enables the user to manipulate, via the display, the enlarged portion of the audio waveform, and provides, via a speaker, audible feedback associated with the manipulated enlarged portion of the audio waveform.

Abstract: A device displays, on a screen, a graphical window from a sequence of graphical windows, where the graphical window includes a group of display elements. The device also receives a user input to the graphical window and identifies a type of the user input, where the type of the user input includes a horizontal input or a vertical input. The device displays, on the screen, another graphical window from the sequence of graphical windows when the type of user input is a horizontal input and scrolls through a stack of the display elements within the graphical window when the type of user input is a vertical input.

Abstract: A device may include a touch-sensitive display, a memory to store a group of instructions, and a processor. The processor may execute the instructions in the memory to detect that a circular motion is being made on or near a surface of the touch-sensitive screen, detect a location on the touch-sensitive screen at which the circular motion is being made, and zoom in or zoom out on an item, being displayed on the touch-sensitive screen at the detected location, based on detecting that the circular motion is being made on or near the surface of the touch-sensitive screen.

Abstract: A method includes detecting an area of a touch screen that is touched by an instrument and determining a gesture corresponding to the area touched. The method further includes performing a crossover operation when it is determined that the gesture corresponds to a crossover gesture and displaying on the touch screen a content that includes a first child content and a second child content that is associated with the crossover operation, where the crossover operation includes navigating between the first child content to the second child content in response to the crossover gesture. The first child content is accessible via a first parent content and the second child content is accessible via a second parent content, and when navigating between the first child content to the second child content, the first parent content and the second parent content is not displayed.

Abstract: A mobile communication device receives current information while the mobile communication device is in one of a sleep state or a locked state, and associates one or more portions of the current information with one or more corresponding windows. The mobile communication device also displays, via a display associated with the mobile communication device, the one or more corresponding windows and the one or more associated portions of the current information while the mobile communication device is in the locked state. Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for remote digital video recorder (DVR) interface provisioning (hereinafter, “DIP”). DIP systems allow for authentication, validation, and registration of users and/or user devices as well as management of identifiers associated with those users and devices. Through interaction with DIP systems, users may associate different devices with each other and/or with one or more underlying service systems and/or accounts to allow integrated use of multiple devices in association with those services. In one implementation, DIP systems may be employed to register one or more mobile and/or remote devices (e.g., mobile phones) with DVR systems to allow for remote manipulation of video recording schedules, content management, parental control management, and/or the like DVR features.

Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for local DVR scheduling conflict management (hereinafter, “SCM”). SCM systems allow for automatic organization, prioritization, and conflict resolution for multiple scheduled recording specifications. Conflicting scheduled recordings may be re-organized based on single-stage and/or multi-stage conflict resolution procedures. Embodiments of SCM systems may also implement weighted conflict resolution, wherein user preferences and/or prioritizations may be assigned to scheduled recordings and considered in the re-organization of conflicting recordings.
