Abstract: A device described herein may receive an indication that the device is not authorized to access a first type of core network (e.g., a Fifth Generation (“5G”) Core (“5GC”)), and may detect that a first core network, of the first type of core network, is available for communication. The device may detect that a second core network, of a second type of core network (e.g., an Evolved Packet Core (“EPC”)), is available for communication. Based on the indication that the device is not authorized to access the first type of core network, the device may request establishment of a communication session with the second core network (e.g., in lieu of requesting access the first core network).

  • Patent number: 11877177
Abstract: A device may receive data indicating a required quality of service (QoS), and may receive radio access network (RAN) information associated with a RAN, wherein the RAN information is provided by a centralized unit (CU) of the RAN. The device may provide the RAN information to a multi-access edge computing (MEC) platform, and may receive, from the MEC platform, a QoS request that requests the required QoS. The device may provide the QoS request to the CU, and may receive a QoS response to the QoS request. The device may provide the QoS response to a policy control function (PCF) of a core network, and may receive an indication of approval of the QoS response from the PCF. The device may cause, based on receiving the indication of approval, the required QoS to be implemented by the MEC platform and network devices associated with the core network.

  • Patent number: 11877162
Abstract: A method and system is described that performs dynamic slice management for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Flight path information associated with a flight path of a UAV is used to determine a predicted optimal application and a predicted optimal network slice for use by the UAV at a location along the flight path. Information associated with the predicted optimal application and the predicted optimal network slice is transmitted to the UAV for use by the UAV at the location. The available network slices to the UAV may be updated based on the determined predicted optimal slice. The UAV may adjust its usage of applications and/or slices based on the information it receives associated with the predicted optimal application and the predicted optimal network slice.

  • Publication number: 20240015469
Abstract: A device may determine that a first geographical area satisfies an area threshold. The first geographical area includes an estimated location of a source of interference associated with base stations. A first plurality of vertices, of the first geographical area, are based on locations of the base stations. The device may determine a second plurality of vertices. The second plurality of vertices are closer to the estimated location than the first plurality of vertices. The device may provide information regarding the second plurality of vertices and may obtain magnitude information indicating magnitudes of the interference measured at the second plurality of vertices. The device may determine a third plurality of vertices based on the magnitude information. The device may provide information regarding a second geographical area, formed by the third plurality of vertices, to cause a search of the second geographical area to identify the source of the interference.

  • Patent number: 11871225
Abstract: A first wireless access device, associated with a wireless service provider, establishes a wireless local area network connection with a second wireless access device and receives a certificate including a unique identifier associated with the second wireless access device. The first wireless access device determines whether the second wireless access device is authorized to connect to the first wireless access device. For example, if the certificate is signed by a certificate authority associated with the wireless service provider and the unique identifier appears in a whitelist stored at the first wireless access device, the first wireless access device and the second wireless access device perform a mutual authentication procedure based on one or more ephemeral keys. The first wireless access device provides the second wireless access device with access to a wide area network based on successful completion of the mutual authentication procedure.

  • Patent number: 11871208
Abstract: An illustrative application executing on a first device establishes a first network connection between the first device and a collaboration platform server managing a set of components for a collaboration platform providing voice communication services with respect to a virtual space. Using the first network connection, the application: 1) sets a first location within the virtual space at which a first voice component is positioned, and 2) determines a second location within the virtual space at which a second voice component is positioned. The application receives, by way of a second network connection between the first and second devices, audio data representing voice communication originating at the second device. • Patent number: 11863382
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a co-managed configuration service. A network device stores parameters for the co-managed configuration service. The parameters identify exposed services for an enterprise network that uses devices from a network service provider. The network device receives, via a customer portal, a vendor-agnostic change request for the enterprise network. The change request includes a user role and a change request name for one of the exposed services. The network device authenticates the change request based on the user role and the change request name and retrieves vendor director information for an SDN device implementing the configuration change. The network device invokes, in response to the change request, the configuration change for the enterprise network based on the vendor director information.
