Abstract: An exemplary method includes an adaptive media content presentation system detecting an interaction of a user with a media content program, generating a playing pattern associated with the media content program based on the detected interaction of the user with the media content program, and applying the playing pattern to at least one of a presentation of the media content program and a presentation of an additional media content program. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A device receives an attachment request from a user device, and determines whether the user device is a stationary device based on the attachment request. The device further establishes a connection between the user device and a network by using local components associated with the device when the user device is the stationary device. The local components perform functions performed by one or more of a remote mobility management entity (MME) device, a remote serving gateway (SGW), or a remote packet data network (PDN) gateway (PGW) associated with the device. The device also transmits data from the network to the user device via the local components associated with the device after establishing the connection between the user device and the network.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for providing a termination point for service emulation instances in an access network is provided. In an embodiment, the service emulation instances are implemented utilizing, for example, pseudowires. Communications to and from the access network are aggregated and transmitted via one or more pseudowires to a service emulation instance terminator. The service emulation instance terminator converts the traffic to its native form and, if necessary, converts the traffic to a different type of format or service. The service emulation instance terminator then frames the traffic for the appropriate type of service and transmits the traffic to the service edge. Traffic received from the service is removed prepended with a pseudowire label and aggregated with other traffic. The aggregated traffic is transmitted to the customer via the access network. If necessary, an interworking function may convert the traffic from one type of service to another type of service.

Abstract: A first server is configured to receive data associated with a first user device. The first user device may send the data to the first server via a network device without user interaction, and the data may relate to activity associated with the first user device. The first server is further configured to determine a status, associated with the first user device, based on the data, store information regarding the status, receive permissions for the information regarding the status of the first user device, apply the permissions for the information regarding the status to form an advertised status, and send the advertised status to the network device. The network device may be capable of sending the advertised status to a client device or a second user device based on the permissions.

Abstract: Embodiments disclose a docking station that may include a transmitter to send an identifier associated with the docking station to a mobile device proximate to the docking station, and a receiver to receive settings from the mobile device. The settings may be based on the identifier associated with the docking station, and the settings specify at least one of a ring volume, a ringtone, or a list of contacts. The docking station may also include a processor to interpret the settings so that the docking station performs according to the settings.

Abstract: A system, associated with a service provider network, is configured to monitor traffic, that is traveling to or from the service provider network, to obtain traffic metrics that correspond to a collection of network layers, where the network layers; process the traffic metrics with respect to each of the network layers to identify an anomaly, associated with the traffic, that corresponds to at least one of the network layers; send a request for packets associated with the traffic based on the identification of the anomaly; receive copies of the packets associated with the traffic; analyze the copies of the packets to obtain information associated with the anomaly; and send a notification that indicates that the anomaly has been identified, where the notification includes the traffic metrics associated with the traffic or the information associated with the anomaly.

Abstract: A system instructs that a first carrier signal that is modulated with a first digital media stream be sent to a first receiver, where the first digital media stream uses a first bandwidth. The system receives a second request from a second receiver to send a second digital media stream, where second digital media stream uses a second bandwidth that is greater than the first bandwidth, and determines that transmitting the second digital media stream will require use of the first bandwidth. The system instructs that a second carrier signal be modulated with the first digital media stream and sent to the first television receiver, and sends to the first television receiver an identifier of the second carrier signal as carrying the first digital media stream.

Abstract: A system may include a macro cell base station configured to determine a service quality associated with the macro cell base station; determine whether the service quality is below a quality threshold; and instruct a small cell base station to switch from a sleep mode to an awake mode, when the service quality is below the quality threshold. The system may further include a small cell base station, located within a coverage area of the macro cell base station, configured to enter an awake mode, when instructed to enter the awake mode by the macro cell base station; and inform the macro cell base station that the small cell base station is in awake mode. The macro cell base station may be further configured to hand over one or more user devices to the small cell base station, when the small cell base station is in the awake mode.

Templates can also be formed on the top mold or base. The templates contain test patterns that are defined by a plurality of apertures. A stylus is used to test the portable device by engaging or contacting different locations through the apertures in the test pattern.

Abstract: A system and method relate to a platform for distributing digital contents (digital content) to various client devices. A digital rights management platform allows a content provider to forward digital contents that is automatically ingested and processed in accordance with various requirements associated with providing the digital contents to the client devices. Information regarding the ingested digital contents may be provided to a coordinator device that uses this information to form a digital rights locker associated with the digital contents. A client device accesses the digital rights locker to obtain a rights token, or a proof of purchase, that is used to obtain rights data for accessing the digital contents.

Abstract: An approach for providing positioning services using multi-space clustering includes detecting sensor data across a plurality of sensor spaces for a device. The plurality of sensor spaces are associated with respective one or more sensor types. The approach also includes predicting a point propensity for the device to represent location data of the device based on the sensor data, and performing a clustering of the location data across the plurality of sensor spaces to generate a cluster graph of a physical space associated with the sensor data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for mobile authentication for web payments are disclosed. In some implementations, a proxy server receives, from a computing device different from a mobile device, a request from a user to process a web payment via a payment account associated with the mobile device, the web payment being associated with an online merchant. The proxy server verifies that the mobile device is associated with the user. The proxy server transmits, to a commerce server of the online merchant, payment information for the web payment in response to verifying that the mobile device is associated with the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remote authentication using mobile single sign on credentials are disclosed. In some implementations, a proxy server receives, from a web access device, a request to access a secure online resource via the web access device. The proxy server receives, from a mobile device different from the web access device, one or more credentials for accessing the secure online resource. The proxy server determines that a geographic distance between the web access device and the mobile device is less than a geographic distance threshold. Upon determining that the geographic distance between the web access device and the mobile device is less than the geographic distance threshold, the proxy server enables the web access device access to the secure online resource.
