  • Patent number: 8525416
Abstract: A process and a device for controlling a plurality of LED assemblies of an automotive vehicle, each LED assembly (Gi) executing a specific lighting/signalling function. The electrical power level (Pi) delivered by the electrical source is modulated according to distinct power levels (Pi) with relation to the function associated with each LED assembly (Gi) and temporary multiplexing is executed in order to successively transmit the distinct power levels (Pi) to the assemblies (Gi) over a multiplexing period (Tmux). Demultiplexing is effected and each distinct electrical power level (Pi) is selectively delivered to the LED assembly (Gi) concerned.

  • Patent number: 8526717
Abstract: A method of finding targets in a color image applies ratio space rich colored filtering to identify a band of pixels that form a transition zone from one rich color to another. This pixel band is reduced to a rich color transition curve. A set of transition curves with simple geometric and color properties for the entire image, can be compared to a database of target properties to identify a target in an image.

  • Patent number: 8527783
Abstract: The Ethernet extension system contains at least a signal and power conversion device, a conversion device, and a coaxial cable connected in between. The signal and power conversion device receives baseband network signal and electricity in accordance with PoE, and delivers the baseband network signal and electricity to the conversion device through the coaxial cable. The conversion device then provides the baseband network signal to an ordinary Ethernet network device. Baseband network signal and electricity as such could be delivered through a coaxial cable beyond the conventional Ethernet without additional configuration of power supplies or power sources, and without repeatedly modulation and demodulation, coding and decoding, or conversion of communication protocols.

  • Patent number: 8525241
Abstract: An image sensor having a pixel array comprises periphery elements formed over a substrate, an oxide layer formed over the periphery elements, an epitaxial layer formed in an opening in the oxide layer in a pixel array area, and a plurality of photosensitive elements of the pixel array formed in the epitaxial layer. Formation of an initial metallization layer occurs after the formation of the photosensitive elements in the epitaxial layer. The photosensitive elements can thus be formed in the epitaxial layer at a higher level within an image sensor stack than that of the initial metallization layer. This advantageously allows stack height and pixel size to be reduced, and fill factor to be increased. The image sensor may be implemented in a digital camera or other type of digital imaging device.
