    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of transmitting missed call data following a failed call attempt, the method comprising a first device: transmitting, to a second device and over a first communications channel, a request to establish voice communications between the first device and the second device; receiving an indication that the request has not been accepted; prompting, in response to receiving the indication, a user of the first device to provide data for generating missed call data; receiving a data input from the user in response to receiving the prompt; generating missed call data in dependence on the data input from the user; and transmitting, over a second channel that is different from the first channel, the missed call data to the second device. Advantageously, a calling party is able to add information about a missed call to a missed call notification provided to a called party.
