Abstract: A door assist system of a vehicle may handle a remotely triggered operation of a power door of the vehicle. The door assist system receives from an off-board system a door closure signal requesting the door assist system to activate closing of a power door of the vehicle. The door assist system further determines with input from one or more surroundings detecting sensors adapted to capture a surrounding proximate the vehicle, that an obstacle is in vicinity of the vehicle. Moreover, the door assist system refrains from activating closing of the power door when the obstacle is determined to interfere and/or potentially interfere with a projected closing path of the power door. A door assist system, and a vehicle comprising such a door assist system may perform the foregoing remotely triggered operation.
Abstract: A brake system comprising a brake disc, a wheel hub connected to the brake disc, and a bearing assembly mounted around the wheel hub, the brake system further comprising: a first electric circuit embedded inside the brake disc; a second electric circuit embedded inside the wheel hub and electrically connected with the first electric circuit; and a third electric circuit embedded inside the bearing assembly and electrically connected with the second electric circuit, wherein when an electric current flows to the first electric circuit through the second and third electric circuits, the first electric circuit generates heat for applying to the brake disc.
Abstract: A subframe assembly for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the same is disclosed. The subframe assembly includes a crossmember, a straight arm, and a side bracket. The crossmember includes an end bracket disposed at an end thereof. The straight arm is received into and metallurgically bonded to the end bracket of the crossmember. The side bracket includes a base, and a rear bracket arm. The base is metallurgically bonded to a side of the straight arm adjacent to the end of the crossmember. The rear bracket arm extends from an end of the base and defines a hole adapted to receive a screw or pin for connecting a control arm of a wheel suspension to the subframe assembly. The rear bracket arm is at least partially received into and metallurgically bonded to the end bracket of the crossmember.
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter generally relates to a voice assistant system for a vehicle which can distinguish who is issuing voice commands, and thereby also which sub-system in the vehicle to control according to the voice command. This is obtained by allowing the voice assistant system to receive input signals from an image capturing system configured to detect the user issuing the voice command. The vehicle compartment may be divided into several zones each associated with at least one sub-system, and the input signals from the image capturing system provide information to the control unit of the voice assistant system regarding the present zone of the user issuing the voice commands.
Abstract: A sensor guard, for protecting a sensor of a vehicle. The sensor guard comprises a blade movable to sweep through a line-of-sight of the sensor when the sensor is arranged to be protected by the sensor guard, an extension of the blade in a direction parallel to the line-of-sight when the blade sweeps through the line-of sight being greater than an extension of the blade in a direction of movement of the blade when the blade sweeps through the line-of sight; and an actuator arranged and configured to move the blade to repeatedly sweep through the line-of-sight of the sensor when the sensor is arranged to be protected by the sensor guard.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method can comprise determining, by a device comprising a processor, personally identifying data elements of data, representative of a group of transactions, that comprise personally identifying information according to an anonymization criterion associated with personally identifying information being determined not to be satisfied by the data elements, and storing, by the device, non-identifying data elements of the data to a non-identifying data store.
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter generally relates to a lighting module integrable in a vehicle exterior which can provide sufficient or even improved lighting performance in a cost-efficient way. The proposed lighting module includes an array of light source units that are controllable to provide at least one of low beam light and high beam light, the array of light source units is adapted to extend along a transverse axis of the vehicle across a longitudinal center plane of the vehicle. Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a functional lighting module which can provide at least one of high beam light and low beam light that is arrangeable in the centre portion of the vehicle, between the common locations of the prior art headlamps.
Abstract: A method of detecting a latent fault of at least one cell among a plurality of cells in an energy storage system, and a control unit performing the method. The method comprises determining State of Health Cell Resistance, SoHCR, and State of Charge, SoC, of a selected cell, wherein the selected cell is indicated to have a latent fault if a determined value of the SoHCR is higher than a reference value and if a determined value of the SoC is higher than a reference value; or determining State of Health Cell Capacity, SoHCC, and State of Charge, SoC, of a selected cell, wherein the selected cell is indicated to have a latent fault if a determined value of the SoHCC is lower than a reference value and if a determined value of the SoC is higher than a reference value.

Abstract: In an aspect, upon a user connecting a charging cable connector of a charging station to a vehicle charging connector of her vehicle, the vehicle will via wireless communication acquire an identifier of the charging station operator, which is transmitted to a server of for instance a car manufacturer. The car manufacturer server can identify the charging station operator from the identifier and register charging session information such that a particular subscription associated with the vehicle or user is charged for the battery charging session and that the charging station operator is duly remunerated.
Abstract: A combined rear exterior lamp and cleaning system including: a lens for the rear exterior lamp of the vehicle, the lens has an inner surface and an outer surface, a cleaning arrangement for providing a cleaning fluid to an exterior surface of the rear window, an inlet connectable to a cleaning fluid hose for providing cleaning fluid to the cleaning arrangement. The cleaning arrangement includes a channel generally parallel with at least one of the lens inner surface or the lens outer surface, and an array of outlets in fluid communication with the channel. The channel is attached to the lens and is adapted to transport the cleaning fluid from the inlet to the array of outlets located on the outer side of the lens for providing the cleaning fluid to the rear window.
Abstract: Vehicle alert and control systems and methods taking into account a detected road friction at a following vehicle and a predicted road friction by the following vehicle. The detected road friction between the following vehicle tires and the road surface may be assessed using a variety of methodologies and is used to compute a critical safety distance between the following vehicle and the preceding vehicle and a critical safety speed of the following vehicle. The predicted road friction ahead of the following vehicle may also be assessed using a variety of methodologies (lidar, camera, and cloud-based examples are provided) and is used to compute a warning safety distance between the following vehicle and the preceding vehicle and a warning safety speed of the following vehicle. These functionalities may be applied to vehicle/stationary object warning and response scenarios as well.
