Abstract: A rear seat entertainment system includes an access point and a second housing. The access point includes a first screen and input/output ports. The access point is included in a first housing. The second housing is separate from the first housing and includes a second screen. The access point is configured to display first content on the first screen and stream the first content displayed on the first screen to the second housing so that the first content is displayed on the first and second screens. The access point is further configured to receive second content from a mobile device, display the second content on the first screen and stream the second content displayed on the first screen to the second housing so that the second content is displayed on the first and second screens.

Abstract: A monitor adapted for mounting in an automobile headrest is provided. A screen structure of the monitor is pivotable about an upper edge thereof, such that the monitor occupies little volume within the headrest. A viewing angle of the screen structure is independently adjustable by a viewer, such that the viewer can continuously select the optimum viewing angle with changing conditions inside the automobile. The screen structure automatically retracts into a housing when struck. Thus, the monitor poses little risk of injury to passengers. The housing of the monitor is attachable to the headrest with screws, which provides a very sturdy connection and reduces the chances of the housing becoming detached from the headrest during a vehicle collision. The hinged connection between the screen structure and the housing is preferably constructed of interconnected components made from sturdy materials, such as metals.

Abstract: Wireless speaker systems and methods for synchronous audio playback. Speaker systems can comprise more than one wireless speaker assembly, such as wireless earphones, in serial communication with an audio source device, such as a smartphone. Separate audio rendering by each wireless speaker assembly and synchronization of audio playback by imposing a fixed latency from an output timestamp associated with the audio source data, and rate matching the sample allow for tightly synchronized playback of stereo audio at low latency.

Abstract: An antenna stand for holding a flexible or non-flexible planar antenna includes a base and support frame. The support frame includes two spaced apart legs and a horizontal cross member interposed therebetween. At least two lower antenna supports are provided on the support frame on which the bottom edge of the planar antenna may rest. An optional extendable antenna holding arm includes an upper antenna clip that engages the top edge of the planar antenna. The extendable antenna holding arm support is adjustably mounted to the support frame so that the distance between the lower antenna supports and the upper antenna clip can be varied to accommodate planar antennas of varying dimensions. The support frame may be arcuately shaped transversely to impart a slight lateral bend to a flexible planar antenna mounted on the stand. This helps to maintain the flexible planar antenna in an upright position on the stand.

The tablet unit includes a display and a touch screen input device disposed on a front surface, a first electrical connection, a first mounting mechanism, and a wireless receiver. The wireless receiver is configured to receive media data from a wireless network and the touch screen input device is configured to receive input from a user. The cradle is disposed in a headrest in a vehicle and includes a second electrical connection and a second mounting mechanism. The tablet unit is electrically connected to the cradle via the first and second electrical connections, and is physically coupled to the cradle via the first and second mounting mechanisms upon mounting the tablet unit to the cradle.

Abstract: A system for micro-locating a portable device including: a plurality of proximity sensors disposed within a vehicle, wherein the proximity sensors are disposed at different locations from each other, and wherein the proximity sensors are each configured to broadcast a signal; a portable device configured to receive the signals broadcast from the proximity sensors to determine its location with respect to the vehicle; and a control module disposed within the vehicle and configured to enable or disable vehicle control features of the portable device based on the location of the portable device.

Upon fixedly locking the vehicle entertainment unit in the cradle, a space aligned with the locking mechanism is disposed between a first side of the cradle and a first side of the vehicle entertainment unit. The space is shaped and dimensioned to receive a removal tool that contacts the locking mechanism through the space to disengage the locking mechanism from the slot.

The frame includes a first support arm and a second support arm. The first and second support arms are interconnected by the clamp mechanism. The frame is selectively mounted to the main body of the personal transportation vehicle on which the operator stands by the clamp mechanism. The clamp mechanism is adjustable so that the stability attachment can be mounted to personal transportation vehicles of various sizes. Each of the support arms includes at least two telescoping members so that the overall length of the support arm can be adjusted.
