  • Publication number: 20110104190
Abstract: The present invention is related to field of allergic (hypersensitivity) diseases and provides a method for producing modified allergenic polypeptides for use in immunotherapies. In the method of the invention, said allergenic polypeptides are modified so that they are not capable to form transient dimers. The invention also provides modified ?-lactoglobulins for use in immunotherapy of milk allergy.

  • Publication number: 20110086364
Abstract: A binding partner, especially an antibody fragment that specifically recognizes an antigen-antibody immune complex between anti-THC and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), is disclosed. The binding partner facilitates a non-competitive homogenous immunoassay for detection of cannabis use. A test kit comprising the binding partner is also described. Preferably the immunoassay is applied for roadside testing of saliva from suspected drivers.

  • Publication number: 20090221039
Abstract: The invention relates to fusion proteins including at least a swollenin and at least a plant cell-wall degrading enzyme, the swollenin, and plant cell-wall degrading enzyme, being recombinant proteins corresponding to native proteins in fungi, or mutated forms thereof. The invention also relates to the use of fusion proteins as defined above, for carrying out processes of plant cell-wall degradation in the frame of the preparation, from plants or vegetal by-products, of compounds of interest located in plant cell-wall, or in the frame of the bleaching of pulp and paper, or for biofuel production, or food industries.

  • Patent number: 6847722
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an equipment for attenuating sound in a duct. Sound propagating in a duct is detected by means of a detector (2) and attenuated by using two successive monopole elements (3, 4) in such a way that both elements function as a dipole approximation and the elements are also used to approximatively produce the monopole radiation needed. A dipole control signal is fed to both elements (3, 4) at a phase shift which is 180° between the two elements. In addition, a monopole control signal is fed to the same elements (3, 4), only this time cophasally. Total volume velocities produced by the two elements (3, 4) are combinations of the portions obtained from the monopole and dipole sources.

  • Patent number: 6178820
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor for measuring acceleration and sound pressure, the sensor comprising a first pressure sensitive film (2) for measuring pressure (P) and second pressure sensitive film (5) having a mass (6) disposed thereon for measuring acceleration (A). The films are arranged concentrically in the same plane, so that pressure and acceleration are measured at the same point, thereby avoiding a phase difference between the two measurements.

  • Patent number: 5955014
Abstract: A process for fabricating a foamed plastic product. The process includes a plastic film that is prefoamed in order to introduce lamellar discontinuities such as prefoamed bubbles. The film is pressurized by a gas under a positive pressure causing the gas to diffuse into the film, forming a second film. Further, the second film is inflated in order to form the foamed plastic product. The second film is inflated by heating the second film at a temperature below the melting point of the second film and under a reduced pressure.
