The air guiding element can be pivoted between a travel position for contour extension and aerodynamic air guidance with the rear door of the vehicle closed, and a position in which it is hinged inwards with the rear door open. To this end, the air guiding element can be received in a hinge of the rear door, and the rear spoiler device has a spring device that presses the air guiding element in the travel position against a counter-stop formed on the hinge, preferably, on a hinge plate fastened to the rear door.

The neutral chamber is charged with an auxiliary pressure such that the pressure in the neutral chamber is temporally on average higher than atmospheric pressure. The compressed air production using the piston/cylinder-type compressed-air compressor is improved such that the maximum value of the torque to be imparted for driving the compressor is reduced.

The further valves have nozzle cross-sectional surfaces the same size as the other level control valves. Chokes are downstream of the further valves in the ventilation direction, the cross-sectional surfaces thereof being smaller than the nozzle cross-sectional surfaces of the further valves.
