Abstract: A building board for mounting on a support structure including a set of studs. The building board comprising a framing element essentially shaped as a rectangular cuboid including two opposite main sides having relatively large delimitation surfaces and four edge sides having relatively small delimitation surfaces. A first type of snap-in means are arranged along a first edge side and a second type of snap-in means are arranged along a second edge sides opposite to said first edge side. The snap-in means of the first type is, after mounting of the building board against the support structure, configured to receive a snap-in means of the second type of another building board so that this building board is connected to the mounted building board. Either the snap-in means of said first or second type includes a groove for receiving at least one clamping element for fixing and holding the first and the second building boards against a stud of the support structure.
Abstract: Molds and processes that permit high-speed, mass production of retaining wall blocks having patterned or other processed front faces, as well as retaining wall blocks formed by such processes. The invention permits the front face of the block to be impressed with a pattern or otherwise directly processed, to allow the formation of pre-determined block front faces, while at the same time facilitating high-speed, high-volume production of blocks. A mirror image of the desired pattern can be created on a stripper shoe by selecting a desired three-dimensional surface from a naturally occurring or man made object and digitally scanning the selected three-dimensional pattern to create scanned data. The scanned data can then be used to machine a face of the stripper shoe that is the mirror image of the selected pattern.
Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises a first semiconductor wafer including a cavity formed in the first semiconductor die. A second semiconductor die is bonded to the first semiconductor die over the cavity. A first transistor includes a portion of the first transistor formed over the cavity.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a permissions-based alarm system for use in climbing environment. The permissions-based alarm system includes an identification device storing a permission setting relating to an aspect of the climbing environment and a detection module in communication with the identification device. The detection module detects the permission setting stored on the identification device and detects proximity of the identification device to an area restricted by the permission setting. When the identification device enters the restricted area of the climbing environment, an alert is provided.
Abstract: An assembly for a structure comprises a support and a panel. The panel may be a glass panel. The assembly further comprises a structural adhesive, which couples the panel to the support. The structural adhesive may comprise a silicone. The structural adhesive h a first coupling surface facing the support and a second coupling surface spaced from the first coupling surface and facing the interior surface of the panel. The structural adhesive has a substantially right-trapezoidal cross-section, which is oriented in a certain direction relative to the panel and the support. The first coupling surface is sloped relative to the second coupling surface of the structural adhesive thereby reducing stress in the assembly due to environmental load subjected on the structure, such as wind load. Other supports and assemblies are also provided. The assembly may be used to form curtain walls, window walls, sky-lights, etc.

Abstract: A mold for making dry cast concrete blocks includes a pair of vertical shoulder forming sections, one along each of the opposite sides of the mold to form vertical front shoulders of a block. Each shoulder forming section has a shoulder roughening arrangement to result in molded, roughened shoulders of the block. Methods of making such blocks and the resulting block are included.

Abstract: A semiconductor device has a substrate and a gate formed over the substrate. An LDD region is formed in the substrate adjacent to the gate. A superjunction is formed in the LDD region while a portion of the LDD region remains between the superjunction and gate. A mask is formed over the substrate. A first region is doped with a first type of dopant using the mask. A stripe is doped with a second type of dopant using a portion of the mask. A drain contact region is formed in the substrate. The first region extends to the drain contact region. The first region and stripe are formed using chain implants. A source field plate and drain field plate are formed over the substrate. A trench is formed in the substrate. A source contact region is formed in the trench.

Abstract: Wall blocks, veneers, veneer connectors, walls, and methods of constructing walls are provided. More particularly, the invention relates to constructing walls in which a veneer panel is attached to a wall block with a connector and in which the front faces of the veneers have a desirable texture.
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide systems and methods for unlocking, opening, closing and locking a vent sash. The system may include a push arm configured to extend to open the vent sash and retract to close the vent sash. The system may include a guide arm configured to extend to unlock the vent sash and retract to lock the vent sash. The system may include a handle extension configured to radially rotate substantially one hundred eighty degrees in a first direction on a single plane to extend the push arm and the guide arm. The handle extension may be configured to radially rotate substantially one hundred eighty degrees in a second direction on the single plane to retract the push arm and the guide arm.
Abstract: A soil reinforcing element for a mechanically stabilized earth structure may include two wires spaced apart from each other (e.g., substantially parallel to each other). Each wire may include at least two wire strands twisted about one another. A flexible outer member may enclose the two wires, may extend between the two wires, and may couple the two wires with each other. The flexible outer member may maintain the two wires spaced apart from each other, and may define at least one aperture between the at least two wires. The flexible outer member may have a protrusion extending along the length thereof. In another exemplary embodiment, a plurality of transverse wires may be coupled to the two parallel wires.
Abstract: A wall block comprises an upper surface and an opposed lower surface. A front face and an opposed back face, and a first side face and an opposed second side face, are disposed between the upper surface and the lower surface. The first side face and the second side face generally extend from the front face to the back face. The block includes one or more features that define a horizontal alignment direction. The front face extends from the first side face to the second side face generally along a direction that is slanted with respect to the horizontal alignment direction.
