Abstract: A fluid pressure system (S) includes a flexible diaphragm bladder (172) located inside a pressure tank (164) installed within a fluid system such as well (168). In preferred aspects, the bladder (172) can be inflated by the introduction of air and is located within a flexible confining tube (198) for preventing over expansion of the bladder (172) and in the preferred form being of a cylindrical configuration and arranged concentrically around the bladder (172). The bladder (172) and the confining tube (198) are free floating in and without physical connection with the pressure tank (164) in preferred forms. The pressure tank (164) includes a flexible side wall (196) to allow folding or willing of the assembled fluid pressure system (S) in preferred forms.
Abstract: A water pressure system includes a pressure tank installed underground within the well casing of a well. The water pressure system includes a submersible pump connected to the inlet of the pressure tank by a drop pipe. The outlet of the pressure tank is connected to a second drop pipe and in turn to a discharge pipe for distribution of pressurized water to a house or other building. A pressure switch is connected to the pressure tank for controlling the submersible pump. The pressure tank includes an outer sidewall with an inlet end and an outlet end. A flexible diaphragm bladder located within the outer sidewall is connected between the inlet and outlet of the tank. In a first embodiment, a tube extends through the center of the bladder between an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The tube has a plurality of holes therein to allow water to flow into and out of the flexible bladder. Pressurized air fills the space between the bladder and the outer sidewall to pressurize the water in the bladder.
Abstract: An air filter for a well is installed within a well casing of the well. The air filter forming an airtight seal around the well casing of the well, such that all the air that enters and exits the well must pass through the air filter. The air filter preferably includes a filter housing, at least one removable gasket and a removable filter cartridge installed within an opening extending through the filter housing. The air filter prevents dirt, dust, bacteria, gaseous chemicals, volatile organic compounds, (VOCs), insects and other air born contaminants from entering and possibly contaminating the well. An air filter may also be installed within a vent pipe extending through a well seal attached to the top of a well casing of a well.
Abstract: A water well filter device and a method for preventing airborne microorganisms from entering into a water well are disclosed. The water well filter device of the present invention contains a microorganism filter element having sufficiently small pore sizes to stop microorganisms from passing through. The water well filter device can further contain a pre-filter, a vacuum relief valve, or both. The method for preventing airborne microorganisms from entering into a water well involves connecting the water well filter device of the present invention to an opening of the well that is otherwise sealed from open air.

Abstract: A surgical cutting instrument for removing objects, such as a pacemaker lead or catheter, embedded in biological tissue. The cutting instrument includes a rigid proximal end and a flexible distal end, the flexible distal end having circular opening and a cutting blade disposed longitudinally therein. A control handle connected to the rigid proximal end and extending radially therefrom provides a force applied to an inner member which extends the cutting blade beyond the circular opening and simultaneously rotates the cutting blade to cut tissue exposed to the blade.
