Abstract: A folding light tower is provided that utilizes a 4-bar linkage mechanism which enables full vertical extension of the tower with the use of one actuator. The exemplary tower generally includes a base, a lower lift arm, and an upper lift arm. Spring elements are used near the rotating joints of the lower lift arm and upper lift arm of the tower. The spring elements act to preload the joints and help to remove play and movement when the tower is unfolded/during the vertical extension process.

Abstract: A novelty toilet sticker depicting a human face caricature is configured for application to a conventional toilet having a lid and a rim with an opening. The sticker includes an upper portion that is applied to the lid and a separate lower portion that is applied to the rim. A first part of the human face caricature is printed on the upper portion and a second part of the human face caricature is printed on the lower portion. When the upper portion and the lower portion are applied to the toilet, they cooperate to depict the human face caricature with a mouth severed between the upper portion and the lower portion to flank the opening. Thus, the sticker presents a complete depiction of the human face caricature on the toilet.

Abstract: A retainer ring for a chemical-mechanical polishing device. The ring prevents damage that occur during polishing work and being usable in stable fashion up until a predetermined lifespan has elapsed, by ensuring that a first ring body mounted on the chemical-mechanical polishing device and a second ring body making contact with a polishing pad are firmly coupled together by means of securing bodies which pass through coupling holes in the first ring body and are coupled to recessed coupling parts in the second ring body, and also by means of adhesive parts which are provided in the coupling holes or the recessed coupling parts and adhere and secure the securing bodies.
Abstract: A latch assembly and telescoping mast having a plurality of telescoping tube sections including the same wherein the latch assembly includes a first latch member mounted to an associated first tube section, a second latch member mounted to an associated second tube section and configured to selectively engage the first latch member to interlock the first and second associated tubes when the associated first tube section is at least partially extended from the associated second tube section, and a trigger member mounted to an associated third tube section. The second latch member includes a latch housing having an opening configured to receive the trigger post when the second associated tube section is retracted into the third associated tube section.

Abstract: A method for scale adjustment of touch-based measurement equipment has steps of providing a touch-based screen with a waveform area; determining if a first-direction gesture or a second-direction gesture is present on the waveform area; when the first-direction gesture is present, determining if an object touches one of two portions of the waveform area divided along a second direction of the waveform area and incrementing or decrementing a first scale when positive; and when the second-direction gesture is present, determining if an object touches one of two portions of the waveform area divided along a first direction of the waveform area and incrementing or decrementing a second scale. Scale adjustment on touch-based measurement equipment using one finger can be implemented with the foregoing method.
Abstract: A telescoping mast having a latch assembly includes a latch body mountable to a first tube section, a latch mechanism supported by the latch body, a toggle mechanism operatively connected to the latch mechanism, and a latch plate mountable to a second tube section. The latch mechanism includes a pawl member pivotably between an engaged position for interlocking with a corresponding recess in the latch plate to thereby restrict axial movement between the first and second tube sections, and a disengaged position allowing relative axial movement between the first and second tube sections. The toggle mechanism is movable between an over-center locked configuration corresponding to the engaged position of the latch mechanism and an unlocked configuration corresponding to the disengaged position of the latch member.
