Abstract: A cat toy in the form of a hollow spherical shell having an opening configured therein. A power supply is supported by the interior of said shell, and a spindle emanates from the power supply and extends toward the opening. An offset weighted element having a borehole configured therein is provided for receipt of the spindle, as is a motor for rotating the offset weighted element about said spindle. A shaft is included for attachment to the spindle which is sized to pass through the opening and which further supports an attractant external to the hollow spherical shell.
Abstract: A recreational pet toy for cats which includes an outer covering and a cord attached to the pet toy for hanging the recreational pet toy during use. The pet toy also includes an elongated channel for receiving catnip and distributing the catnip along its length.
Abstract: A sound module for insertion within a pet toy. The sound module is in the form of a shell housing an integrated circuit, power source and speaker, the integrated circuit being programmed to generate a signal to the speaker for creating an audible sound. The shell is in the form of a sphere, oval, square or rectangle ideally having a wall for thickness of between 2 mm and 5 mm and composed of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.
Abstract: A pet bed having a base and a plush pad within the base which is sized to support a pet thereon. A tubular member is provided having one end affixed to the base and a non-rigid side wall, the non-rigid side wall being extendable from the base in a first orientation forming a tunnel from the plush pad and collapsible in a second orientation creating a side wall to the base.
