Abstract: A cable bushing including a frame portion, and a filler portion connected to the frame portion, the filler portion being movable between a first position in which the filler portion is remote from the interior of the frame portion and a second position in which the filler portion is disposed substantially within the frame portion, the frame portion being adapted to occupy an opening in a partition structure and being further adapted to receive a cable therethrough.

Abstract: A component adapted for attachment to a library unit stand for use in storing magazines, pamphlets and other information-bearing media, said component comprising a frame assembly having means for attaching it to a library unit stand, and a shelf assembly mounted to the frame assembly so as to be movable from a first media-storing position where it is in a plane that is horizontal or nearly horizontal and a second media-displaying position where its rear end has been advanced and its front end has been lowered so that it is inclined at a selected angle for displaying the media stored thereon.

Abstract: A storage file of open box-like form for storing books, documents, cassettes, discs and the like in a suspension filing system is disclosed herein. In one embodiment the storage file includes on its top a hook and a lock means, designed to prevent inadvertent disengagement of the hook, Another feature is an interlock which cooperates with a strap-like member disposed parallel to a hanger bar in the filing system to prevent rotation of the storage file while it is suspended from the hanger bar.

Abstract: A multi-ring loose-leaf binder which incorporates hooks adopted to detachably secure the binder to a horizontal bar of a suspension filing system, recessed into the top edges of its front and back covers. The binder is further provided with a hinged jack recessed within its spine and which may be extended to prop the open binder at a convenient angle to a horizontal work surface.

Abstract: A document holder or filing device comprising a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of a book-like item to be filed, said spine piece having head and tail ends, and at least one finger at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the associated head and tail ends of the spine between themselves and the spine piece, first and second interlocking means so configured and disposed as to be engageable one with the other and, when engaged, prevent the further relative movement of the fingers and thereby maintain the book-like item captive within the holder, and resiliently distortable means biased so as to maintain said first and second interlocking means in engagement and manually distortable so as to permit the disengagement of the interlocking means and thereby the release of the binder from the document holder.

Abstract: A document holder has a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of the document to be filed and a plurality of fingers at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the head and tail of the spine between themselves and the spine piece.

Abstract: A novel type of preprinted index strip is disclosed for use in microfiche storage panels and similar devices of the type adapted to hold and display index strips along one edge. This new type of index strip greatly expands the choice of identification symbols available to the user from a single preprinted index sheet without requiring a reduction in the size of the identification symbols or prohibiting the same identification symbol from being displayed on both sides of the storage panel.

Abstract: Voting machine or system for both punching holes in a ballot and at the same time accumulating the votes. The ballots are fed into the machine, locked in place, and then tests are made to determine if the ballot is valid. If the ballot is valid, voting is accomplished by the user punching holes in the ballot. The punching of holes also produces storage of the vote which is thereafter accumulated in the machine after the ballot is approved by the voter. The machine also includes means to permit a voter to detect the he or she has overvoted a ballot and thus produced an invalid ballot so that a new ballot may be taken and voted.

Abstract: A storage cabinet is provided which comprises at least one pull-out frame with a book support for supporting books so that they can be opened and read without removing them from the frame. The book support is in the form of a hanger bar from which the books are hung for storage. The hanger bar is adapted to permit the books to be easily pivoted up into a reading or use position and also to permit the books to be removed easily if pivoted to a selected book-releasing position.

Abstract: A machine that quadrates documents comprising a stationary plate having along one edge a plurality of transversely-spaced cutting edges defining a cutting area, a rotor having axially thereof and radially-spaced from its axis a plurality of complementary cutting edges supported for rotation with the rotor about an axis parallel to the edge of the stationary plate for movement of the cutting edges in shearing relation to the cutting edges on the stationary plate and sheet-feeding rolls for advancing the documents to be quadrated along the surface of the stationary plate onto the cutting area to present a portion thereof to the cutting edges in timed relation to movement of the cutting edges into cutting relation with each other.

Abstract: A novel loose-leaf holder is provided for binding documents such as multi-leaf computer printouts and mounting the same in a suspension-filing and/or storing system. The holder is of the type described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,056,296 and comprises a plastic body which is molded as an integral unit and comprises two side sections which are connected together by a hinge section so that they can be swung toward and away from one another. The improvement comprises document mounting pins carried by one side section and engageable by the other side section, one or more of the pins being adjustbly mounted on the one side and movable toward and away from the other pins. Manually releasable locking means are provided for locking the two side sections together so as to captivate documents which are mounted on the pins.

Abstract: A screw having its head shaped to prevent its removal by unauthorized persons, characterized in that it has peripherally thereof an odd number of sides arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of the head and inclined to the axis of the screw to prevent removal of the screw by the use of pliers. The screw is removed by the use of a matching socket wrench.

Abstract: A record keeping system comprises (1) a multiple sheet assembly including a label with an adhesive backing and registration means including an adhesive backed flap and (2) a master ledger sheet for recording a plurality of entries. The multiple sheet assembly is used with the master ledger sheet by securing the flap of the assembly to the back of the master ledger sheet in proper registration so that information provided on the label assembly will simultaneously be transferred to the master ledger sheet.
