Abstract: An operation determining system includes: a position measuring unit that measures a position of a moving object with time; and an operation determining unit that determines that there is an operation of the object in a detection area when an intersecting angle between entering and exiting vectors of the object with respect to the detection area, the intersecting angle being calculated based on the position of the object measured by the position measuring unit, is equal to or higher than a certain value.
Abstract: An electronic mail sending system that includes: a sending terminal that sends an electronic mail; a maintenance unit to maintain a mail address of a mailing list; a difference determination unit comprising: a determination unit that determines a difference between a first mail address provided from the maintenance unit on the basis of a mailing list and a second mail address of a same mailing list as the mailing list used at previous sending time when the electronic mail is sent from the sending terminal with the mailing list being specified as an address of the electronic mail; and a display controller that displays a determination result by the determination unit on the sending terminal; and a sending controller that controls sending of the electronic mail on the basis of an instruction given based on the determination result displayed on the sending terminal.

Abstract: This is a photoconductor and dispenser assembly and system. The photoconductor is in a tubular form so as to accept a tubular formed dispenser within its hollow portion. The dispenser will coat within this hollow portion a uniform coating of an acoustical dampening material. This material will dull any sound produced by the photoconductive marking system. The assembly is the tube having in its hollow portion this dispenser. The dispenser fits tightly but movably within the hollow portion.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to managing document interactions in a collaborative document area of a virtual world. Document interactions of avatars in the collaborative document area of the virtual world are captured by an interaction tool deployed in the collaborative document area. The document interactions are related to at least one document in the collaborative document area. The document interactions are associated with the at least one document based on a reference scheme applied to the collaborative document area by an interaction association unit.
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to a collaborative document environment for reviewing a collection of documents stored in a repository of a document management system. A shared collaborative document area in a virtual world is associated with a corresponding collection of documents in a document management system. The shared collaborative document area is customized based on a semantic context of the documents in the collection of documents.
Abstract: A control system and method for a sheet registration device including a general unit which determines desired contact point velocities for moving a sheet along a reference trajectory. The contact point velocity determination is independent of the sheet registration device. A specific unit is operably connected to the general unit. The specific unit determines registration device specific operating parameters for controlling registration device actuators to move the sheet along the reference trajectory.
Abstract: A registering apparatus includes: a first image data acquiring unit that acquires first image data from a first region on a recording medium; a second image data acquiring unit that acquires second image data from a second region that includes the first region; a third image data acquiring unit that acquires third image data from a third region that does not include the first region and differs from the second region when a correlation value between the second image data and the first image data is equal to or greater than a predetermined first threshold value; and a registering unit that registers the first image data as registration data that are image data to be used in authentication of the recording medium when a correlation value between the third image data and the first image data is equal to or less than a second threshold value.
Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, an image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a first detecting unit, a second detecting unit, a control unit. The image forming unit forms an image on a recording medium by using coloring materials of a plurality of colors based on image information. Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a powder filler system incorporating a pair of symmetrical agitators within a hopper, containing powder and having an upper cylindrical portion and a lower funnel portion. Each agitator includes: a first bar extending from the top of the hopper to a tubular section of the funnel portion; a second bar connected to the first bar and extending towards an interface between the upper cylindrical and lower funnel portions of the hopper; a third bar connected to both the first and second bars such that it is approximately parallel to an angled sidewall of a conical section of the funnel portion; and vertically oriented and angled fins connected between the second and third bars. Agitators configured in this manner maintain the powder at an essentially uniform density within the hopper; move the powder towards the auger such that cavitations/starvations are avoided; and ensure a steady discharge flow.

The storage area reserving section reserves, when description data input via the input section indicates that a partial image including a transmission image is to be stored, a partial image area and an entire image area at the image storage section. The color space converter performs conversion using a first output color space conversion function that converts a description color space of the description data into an output color space that includes an entire image plane and a partial image plane. The controller converts the color-space converted partial image into an output image format and writes it in the partial image area, and converts the color-space converted entire image into an output image format and writes it in the entire image area.
