Abstract: A remotely operated mobile robot includes a movement controller, a notification unit, and a switching unit. The movement controller is configured to be remotely operated by a terminal device connected to the remotely operated mobile robot through a communication line so as to control movement of the remotely operated mobile robot. The notification unit is configured to notify a terminal device, other than the terminal device connected to the remotely operated mobile robot, of a request for operation of the remotely operated mobile robot, if a predetermined condition is satisfied. If the terminal device notified of the request for operation of the remotely operated mobile robot makes an operation demand, the switching unit switches to a state of the movement controller to a state in which the movement controller is operable by the terminal device that makes the operation demand.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier, a cleaner, and a controller. The image carrier holds an image on a surface thereof. The cleaner cleans the surface of the image carrier. The controller forms, at timing at which a developer is fed to the cleaner, a feeder image that feeds the developer to the cleaner. The feeder image includes toner whose amount is smaller on a downstream side than on an upstream side in a travel direction of the image carrier.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a character recognition section that performs character recognition of an input image to output a character recognition result, a receiving section that receives an input of a character recognition result by a person on the input image, a detection section that detects a strikethrough from the input image, a matching section that matches the character recognition result output by the character recognition section with the character recognition result by the person, which is received by the receiving section, and a control section that performs control for causing the matching section to perform matching so as to obtain a final character recognition result based on a result of the matching, in a case where the detection section detects the strikethrough.
Abstract: A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting unit. The light-emitting unit includes an array of multiple light-emitting element groups, each including multiple light-emitting elements. In the light-emitting unit, the multiple light-emitting element groups are sequentially driven along the array such that, for each of the multiple light-emitting element groups, the multiple light-emitting elements included in the light-emitting element group are concurrently set to a state of emitting light or a state of not emitting light.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to obtain, for each character of plural characters recognized from an image, (a) position of the character in the image, (b) size of the character, and (c) confidence level of a character recognition result of the character; and determine whether to regard the character as a noise based on a distance between the character and its nearest character, the size of the character, and the confidence level of the character recognition result of the character.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein are directed to implementations that facilitate individuals to collect, store, and automatically extract procedural knowledge from their messaging interactions with collaborative groups. Example implementations involve chat interfaces to communicate and add the capability to tag text and media to organize content. Example implementations also add a new thread-like structure to the previously only linear time-line of a chat. Knowledge from the chat can then be extracted automatically into a high-quality multimedia document.
