Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a first ejection destination, a second ejection destination, and a controller. The first ejection destination is a destination to which sheets having an image formed thereon by using rendered data are to be ejected. The second ejection destination is a destination to which a sheet serving as a sample print among the sheets is to be ejected. The controller sets the sheet serving as the sample print by using at least one of pixel density, number of colored pixels, number of extra colors, number of objects, object size, and object color information that are included in the rendered data.

Abstract: A light irradiation device includes a light emitting unit, a cooling unit, a supply unit, and a driving unit. The light emitting unit emits light while generating heat. The cooling unit includes a channel through which a coolant flows, a first surface on which the light emitting unit is mounted, and a second surface that faces a direction opposite to the first surface. The supply unit is disposed facing the second surface in one direction that the second surface faces and supplies the coolant to the cooling unit. The driving unit is disposed facing the second surface in the one direction and includes a driving board that drives the light emitting unit.
Abstract: A powder processing apparatus includes: a fixing unit that is provided in an apparatus housing and heats powder containing ultrafine particles to fix the powder on a processed medium; an exhaust unit including an exhaust path through which air near the fixing unit can be exhausted, a capturing part capable of capturing the ultrafine particles, and an airflow generating part that generates exhaust airflow, the exhaust unit exhausting the air near the fixing unit to the outside of the apparatus housing through the exhaust path; and an intake unit including an intake path through which air outside the apparatus housing can be taken in, a capturing part capable of capturing the ultrafine particles, and an airflow generating part that generates intake airflow, the intake unit taking the air outside the apparatus housing into the apparatus housing through the intake path. An intake port is provided below an exhaust port.

Abstract: A display device includes a screen, first and second projectors, a detector, and a controller. The screen has first and second surfaces. The first projector projects a first horizontally non-inverted image as viewed from the first surface. The second projector projects a second horizontally non-inverted image as viewed from the second surface. The detector detects a person viewing the first surface and a person viewing the second surface. The controller controls switching of an operation between the first and second projectors and also performs control, when the detector has detected a person viewing the first surface and a person viewing the second surface, so that the person viewing the first surface and the person viewing the second surface are able to see each other through the screen.
Abstract: Aqueous ink compositions and methods for fabricating a resistive material for a printed circuit are provided. The aqueous ink composition may include an aqueous solvent, one or more carbon nanoparticles, and one or more cellulose nanocrystals. The one or more carbon nanoparticles may include carbon nanotubes, such as multi-walled nanotubes, and the one or more cellulose nanocrystals may include cellulose nanocrystals functionalized with carboxylate groups.

On the basis of the schedule information received by the schedule information receiving unit, information is displayed on each of the client devices about an event to be newly added that matches the schedule information without overlapping with a date/time of each of events scheduled before and after the event, the information representing at least one of a duration of the event, a location of the event, and a route to the event.

Abstract: A light emitting chip including: a substrate that is provided with a first semiconductor laminate part, a tunnel junction layer or a metallic electrically conductive group III-V compound layer, and a second semiconductor layer. The first semiconductor laminate part includes light emitting elements. The tunnel junction layer or the metallic electrically conductive group III-V compound layer is provided on the first semiconductor laminate part. The second semiconductor layer is provided on the tunnel junction layer or the group III-V compound layer, and includes a driving portion. The driving portion includes setting thyristors and drives the light emitting elements to make the light emitting elements be able to shift to an ON state sequentially.
Abstract: A print system and a method for detecting inline failure of a curing light source of a 3D object printer are disclosed. For example, the print system includes a plurality of printheads, a curing light source, an inline failure detection (IFD) system, a movable member to hold an object, a heat resistant member coupled to the movable member that holds a thermal paper for testing operation of the curing light source and a controller to control movement of the movable member to move the object past the array of printheads, to operate the plurality of printheads to eject the marking material onto the object as the object passes the two-dimensional array of printheads, to operate the curing light source to apply energy to the thermal paper and to cure the marking material, and to operate the IFD system to read the thermal paper to detect a failure of the curing light source.

Abstract: An exposure window component is provided so as to be separated from an exposure device housing and is attached to an opening through which light from the exposure device housing passes. The exposure window component includes: a transmitting member that allows light from the exposure device housing to pass therethrough; a holding frame that holds the transmitting member; a receiving member that is provided at a periphery of the opening to receive the holding frame when the transmitting member is attached and that removably supports the transmitting member; and a grasping part that is provided at a portion of the holding frame and is grasped when the transmitting member is attached and removed.
Abstract: A light-emitting device includes multiple transfer elements, multiple setting elements, multiple light-emitting elements, and a controller. The transfer elements sequentially enter an on state. The setting elements are connected to the transfer elements. In response to the transfer elements entering the on state, the setting elements are allowed to enter an on state. Each of the light-emitting elements is connected to a corresponding one of the setting elements. In response to each of the setting elements entering the on state, the corresponding one of the light-emitting elements enters an on state to emit light or increase a light emission intensity thereof. The light-emitting elements are maintained in the on state in parallel. The controller controls the setting elements to enter the on state in accordance with a received illumination control signal, and controls an illumination period of the light-emitting elements.
Abstract: A method for printing including disposing a first ink onto a substrate to form a first ink layer on the substrate in an area where a diagnostic image will be printed; disposing a second ink onto the first ink layer to form a second ink diagnostic image, wherein the first ink has a first color density and the second ink has a second color density that is different from the first ink color density, wherein the second ink drops hit and displace areas of the first ink layer creating holes which provide a density contrast; curing or drying after forming the second ink diagnostic image; wherein the second ink diagnostic image is rendered visible by the contrast between the second ink diagnostic image and the substrate as compared to the first ink layer and the substrate.
