Abstract: Signage packs for retail store shelves are compiled with a continuous belt pusher system having multiple pushers that allow accumulated set signage packs to be collated and pushed to a downstream transport system that forwards them for the application of hot-melt adhesive to an edge of each pack while simultaneously eliminating printer skipped pitches.
Abstract: A system and method scan a document printed by a first document processing device (using a second document processing device separate from the first document processing device). The document has printed thereon machine readable markings that comprise information of a patient, information of at least one lab test to be performed, and formatting information for the return of the lab test results. The second document processing device identifies the lab test to be performed on the patient based on the machine readable markings. After the lab tests have been performed on the patient, the second document processing device prepares the lab test results by formatting them. These formatted lab test results are then output from the second document processing device to the first document processing device.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling multiple URLs generated or obtained upon scanning multiple documents to one or more cloud locations. The one or more cloud locations may be different or may be the same. The method includes receiving multiple URLs generated for multiple scanned documents stored at the one or more cloud locations. Upon receiving, each URL is analyzed to identify a keyword relevant for each URL. Based on the identified keywords, a new single URL is created to access multiple scanned documents placed at the one or more cloud locations. The new single URL is created such that the new single URL when accessed by the user allows the user to access multiple scanned documents at the same time without needing the user to access multiple URLs. This way, the user can access multiple scanned documents through a single URL i.e., the new single URL.
Abstract: The disclosure discloses methods and systems for allowing a user to print multiple documents stored over multiple and/or different cloud locations. A pre-defined file is received from a user, where the file includes multiple URLs such that each URL represents a cloud URL for accessing a document stored over that cloud location. Then, each URL is analyzed to segregate the URL into a cloud location URL and a document name. A pre-defined user-friendly view is generated based on the cloud locations, where the pre-defined view includes a common cloud URLs, corresponding document names, and print options, for user's selection. Based on the user's selection, one or more documents stored at corresponding cloud locations are printed without requiring the user to access any cloud location URL.
Abstract: The disclosure describes methods and systems for power saving during an upgrade at a device such as a multi-function device. The device includes one or more modules, wherein each module is having an independent power supply. An application runs on the device to identify whether an upgrade is available at the multi-function device. Then, the application identifies one or more modules requiring the upgrade. Once the modules are identified, upgrade for the one or more identified modules is initiated by continuing to provide power to the identified modules. And power to the remaining modules i.e., modules not requiring any upgrade, is disabled from the start of the upgrade process till completion of the upgrade process in order to save overall power consumption of the device.
Abstract: A method of automatically creating trust communities in a fleet of devices. The method includes finding candidate devices in a fleet of devices via one or more candidate discovery techniques and generating device-related data based on the candidate devices that are found, analyzing the device-related data via an analytics engine and creating one or more fleet orchestrator device lists based on the analysis of the device-related data, and automatically creating one or more new trust communities or suggesting joining one or more previously existing trust communities based at least on the one or more fleet orchestrator device lists for the candidate devices, wherein the one or more new trust communities or previously existing trust communities include at least a sub-set of the devices in the fleet, and wherein at least one of the managed devices in the sub-set of devices is configured as a root device to publish files via a file sharing function.

Abstract: A jetting assembly that can be used to print a high-temperature print material such as a metal or metal alloy, an aqueous ink, or another material, includes an actuator for heating a gas such as a non-volatile gas within a gas cavity. The actuator rapidly heats the gas within the gas cavity, which rapidly increases a volume of the gas, thereby applying a pressure to the print material within an expansion channel that is in fluid communication with the gas cavity. In turn, the print material within the expansion channel applies a pressure to the print material within a nozzle bore, which forces a drop of the print material from a nozzle. The jetting assembly further includes a supply inlet that supplies the print material to the expansion chamber and the nozzle bore, for example, from a reservoir.

Abstract: An antimicrobial composition is disclosed. The antimicrobial coating composition includes at least one cured phase change ink which may include one or more crosslinked polymers, a photoinitiator, a wax, a gellant, and an antimicrobial additive. The composition also includes an engineered surface topography formed by the cured phase change ink. A method of preparing a textured antimicrobial surface is also disclosed. The method may include designing a template having a texture, printing the template onto a substrate using an uncured antimicrobial ink, and providing a light source to crosslink the uncured antimicrobial ink.
Abstract: Devices include first and second frame elements having mounting points connectable to opposite ends (e.g., first end, second end) of the touchscreen. First and second rollers are connected, respectively, to the first and second frame elements. A web of transparent material is supported by and between the first and second rollers. Further, an ultraviolet light device is connected to the second frame element and is positioned to expose the web of transparent material to ultraviolet radiation to disinfect the transparent material between users.

Abstract: An inkjet printhead assembly includes a controller operatively connected to an actuator so the controller can operate the actuator to tilt a carrier plate in which a plurality of printheads are mounted after a purge of the printheads has been performed. The tilt assists gravity in directing the purged ink to a wiper that is moved by another actuator operated by the controller to wipe the faceplates of one or more printhead faceplates in the carrier plate. After the wiper is returned to its home position, the carrier plate is returned to its level position and the printhead assembly is returned to its operational position for printing.

Abstract: A method for printing a three-dimensional crystalline structure such as a chocolate layer wherein, after printing, the material has a desired crystal structure and a plurality of non-random cavities. An embodiment can include printing a liquid first layer of material with a printer onto a second layer of material having a crystal structure. Subsequently, the printed liquid first layer is processed to solidify the first layer. During the processing of the printed liquid first layer, the second layer functions as a crystal seed layer through physical contact with the printed liquid first layer and the second layer crystallizes with the crystal structure. In some embodiments, confections may be formed from high-quality chocolate, where the confection has a reduced caloric content with acceptable mouthfeel. In other embodiments, a confection may have a previously unrealized mouthfeel and taste.
