Abstract: A method and system of producing a three-dimensional object with an anti-counterfeiting measure uses a processor to access a data file including a plurality of parameters for producing a three-dimensional object, wherein the parameters comprise a plurality of structural parameters. The processor may also cause a three dimensional printing device to form the three dimensional object that exhibits the structural parameters by identifying a build material, identifying at least one anti-counterfeiting measure that when included in the 3D object will prevent creation of a digital model of the three-dimensional object by causing the 3D object to obstruct a possible 3D scanning method, and causing the three dimensional printing device to form the three-dimensional object with the anti-counterfeiting measure using the build material.

Abstract: A recording-medium container includes a press portion and an urging member. The press portion is disposed to be movable toward and away from a side of a recording medium stack loaded in the recording-medium container, and pressed against the side. The urging member urges the press portion toward the recording medium stack when a quantity of the recording medium stack exceeds a predetermined load.
Abstract: Backing material is passed by a first heater to pre-heat the backing material. The backing material is then passed by a printing engine to print marking material on the backing material, and passed by a first light source to apply ultra-violet (UV) light to the marking material printed on the backing material, to partially cure the marking material. Further, the backing material is passed by a container to expose the partially cured marking material to adhesive particles to cause the adhesive particles to adhere only to the marking material. The backing material is passed by a second light source to apply additional UV light to the marking material partially cured on the backing material to fully cure the marking material. Finally, the backing material is passed by a second heater to melt the adhesive particles that are adhered to the marking material on the backing material.
Abstract: An information processing device includes a controller that controls a notification of a linkage function corresponding to plural selected files. In a further modification of the invention, the controller may control the notification of the linkage function corresponding to formats of the selected files. When the plural files having different formats are selected, the controller may control the notification of the linkage function corresponding to the formats of the selected files.
Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing member, a heating element, a power supply circuit, and a processor. The fixing member is used in fixing on recording material. The heating element is used to heat the fixing member. The power supply circuit causes current in phase control to flow to the heating element. The processor is configured to set the phase of the current by using a combination of multiple phase control periods having different numbers of cycles supplied from an alternating-current power supply. The current flows to the heating element.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a receiving unit that receives printing data and a switching unit that performs switching between a second rotation mode and a first rotation mode. The first rotation mode is a mode in which an orientation in the printing data undergoes rotation through an angle decided in accordance with an analysis of content of the printing data. The second rotation mode is a mode in which if an angle for an output size in the printing data is stored in a memory, the angle is read out from the memory, and the orientation in the printing data undergoes the rotation.
Abstract: An image identification apparatus includes an extraction unit, an excluding unit, and an identification unit. The extraction unit extracts lines from an image. The exclusion unit excludes from objects to be identified a boundary delimiting an entire area of the image among the extracted lines. The identification unit identifies as an object multiple lines that are among the extracted lines and that are not excluded by the exclusion unit if the multiple lines are connected to each other.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a detection unit and a controller. The detection unit detects a specific operation which is an operation to output audio related to a setting screen, and refers to an operation not to be performed for each setting item displayed on the setting screen. The controller performs control so as to output first audio information related to setting items satisfying a predetermined standard by audio, among setting items included in the setting contents, in a case where the specific operation is detected by the detection unit at a first stage before the setting contents are determined.
Abstract: A method for rendering a correlation mark on a recording medium can involve encoding a pattern based on a correlation effect color based on a color recipe that includes a high density of one primary color and a mid-to-low density of at least one other primary color, and adjusting the pattern to ensure that the encoding is lost in a resulting rendering of a correlation mark embedded with the pattern. The pattern imposed on the correlation mark is not readily visible in an original without a decoding key. The correlation mark can include a frequency that is sufficiently high so that a copy of the correlation mark may not reproduce with the pattern.

Abstract: An information processing system includes: a storage unit that stores first printing information on already executed printing in association with an image for printing converted from the first printing information; and an execution unit that, when second printing information included in a printing instruction which instructs execution of printing is identical to the first printing information stored in the storage unit, executes printing according to the printing instruction using the image for printing.
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to: cause a display to display a GUI comprising a plurality of items; receive user input that is scribed over any of the plurality of items displayed on the display; provide the user with a substantially real-time feedback of the scribing by applying digital ink indicating a scribed line on the GUI; select a first item of the plurality of items based on a position of the scribing within the GUI; recognize a trail of the scribed line; in response to the trail of the scribed line being recognized as a first predetermined trail, perform, on the first item, first processing corresponding to the first predetermined trail; and in response to the trail of the scribed line being recognized as a second predetermined trail, perform second processing on the first item. The second processing corresponds to the second predetermined trail and is from the first processing.
Abstract: A printer includes a processor receiving a print job from a first driver and a second driver supporting a smaller number of initially set sizes of printing media selectable by a user than a number of initially set sizes of printing media supported by the first driver, determines which driver the print job is received from, performs suspension control suspending print job execution in a case where there occurs a disagreement state in which a size of a printing medium designated by the print job and a size of a printing medium supplied from a supply section during execution of the print job are different from each other during execution of a print job received from the first driver, and performs continuation control continuing execution of the print job in a case where there occurs the disagreement state during execution of a print job received from the second driver.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: obtain biological information of a person who has received a request to implement an activity, the biological information being generated from the person on receipt of the request to implement the activity; and estimate, on the basis of the biological information, whether the person is able to accept implementation of the activity.
