Abstract: The disclosure discloses methods and systems for keyword-based printing. The method includes receiving a request for printing a document. A user interface including a keyword-based printing option is provided. The keyword-based printing option allows a user to submit one or more pages having one or more keywords for printing separately than other pages of the document for printing. Based on the selection of the keyword-based printing option, the one or more keywords are received. A separate media selected for printing the pages having the one or more keywords than a media selected for printing other pages of the document is received. The pages having the one or more keywords are identified. The pages having the keywords and the separate media selected for the pages along with other pages of the document and the media selected for the other pages of the document are sent for printing.
Abstract: A relay apparatus includes a storage, request data reception and transmission units, a mode data reception unit, a specified condition conversion unit, a content identifier reception unit, a generation unit, and a display data transmission unit. The storage stores a service identifier, access destination information, and a conversion routine for the format of a specified condition specifying content, for each of storage services. The request data reception unit receives a service identifier and a specified condition from a client apparatus. The mode data reception unit receives mode data specifying a client apparatus display format. The specified condition conversion unit converts the specified condition into a server format, which is transmitted by the request data transmission unit using access destination information. The content identifier reception unit receives content identifiers from the server, for which the generation unit generates display data.
Abstract: Examples of a paper-clearance apparatus for removing jammed paper from a printer are described herein. The paper-clearance apparatus includes an outer shaft mounted transversely above a printing medium path of a printer; an inner shaft movably disposed inside the outer shaft; a roller assembly including a sliding bush mounted over the outer shaft; and a handle connected inside the inner shaft from outside a printer housing. The handle is being rotatable so that the roller connected with the inner shaft touches the jammed paper and rotates along with the jammed paper to grip the jammed paper. Further, the handle is being pullable away from the printer housing so as to pull out the jammed paper beneath the printer housing.
Abstract: An image scanning apparatus includes: a reading unit that reads image data, which includes an image of a document transported along a transport path and an image at a scanning position of the image, from a storage area in synchronization with a reading synchronization signal; a detection unit that detects a dirt at the scanning position by processing the image data; and a delay unit that delays and outputs a period, during which the synchronization signal to be provided to the detection unit is valid, until reading of data of a document part included in the image data starts.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for submitting content for printing. The method includes receiving a document from a user, the document includes different types of content. A custom print option is provided to the user for selection, the custom print option includes one or more content types. The one or more content types are provided to the user for selection. The document is analyzed to identify different types of content in the document. Upon identification, content corresponding to the one or more content types selected by the user is extracted. The extracted content corresponding to the one or more content types selected by the user is sent, to a multi-function device, for printing. In this manner, the method enables the user to select, submit and print customized content from the document for printing.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrying unit that carries an image to be transferred to a sheet which is brought into contact with the image carrying unit and passed through; a separation unit that separates the sheet from the image carrying unit; and a removal unit that comes into contact with the image carrying unit, and removes toner remaining after the sheet passes through the separation unit. A non-transferred toner image that is not transferred to the sheet is formed in a range, where the separation unit is not present, of the image carrying unit.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a reading unit, a generation processing unit, a storage controller, and an output unit. The reading unit reads a reading target to generate image data. The generation processing unit performs processing for generating, in an external apparatus, a temporary storage region that is able to be accessed from a terminal apparatus. The storage controller transmits the image data to the external apparatus and causes the image data to be stored into the temporary storage region. Abstract: A printing system receives a print request containing patterns of marks to be printed on print media to produce printed output. A processor evaluates the print request to identify non-marking areas and identify different printing densities of the patterns of marks. The processor alters the patterns of marks to create hidden features on the printed output by adding a uniform printed background to the non-marking areas and adding different printing densities of fluorescent spots to different areas of the patterns of marks. The different printing densities of the fluorescent spots are based on the different printing densities of the patterns of marks and on the size of the hidden features. A printing device prints the print request on the print media to produce the printed output.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier that carries an image, a developing unit that applies a developing voltage to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier with a developer, a transfer unit that electrostatically transfers the image onto media of different types, and a development controller that controls a developing operation of the developing unit.
