Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image holding member including a conductive substrate, a photosensitive layer, and a protection layer; a charging unit; an electrostatic image forming unit; a developing unit that includes an electrostatic image developer having a toner and develops the electrostatic image to form a toner image; a transfer unit that transfers the toner image onto a surface of a recording medium; a fixing unit that fixes the toner image; and a cleaning unit that includes a cleaning blade. The toner includes toner particles and silica particles having a number average particle size of 110 nm to 130 nm, a large-diameter-side number particle size distribution index (upper GSDp) of less than 1.080, and an average circularity of 0.94 to 0.98, wherein 80 number % or more of the silica particles have a circularity of 0.92 or more.

The presentation unit is configured to present at least one piece of information on image quality for each of plural models of image forming apparatuses. The receiver is configured to receive a setting value related to image quality from the information on the image quality presented by the presentation unit. The storage is configured to store the setting value related to the image quality received by the receiver for each of the models of the image forming apparatuses. The controller is configured to control the image forming apparatus of a corresponding model according to the setting value related to the image quality stored by the storage.
Abstract: Provided herein is conductive adhesive composition comprising at least one epoxy resin, at least one polymer chosen from polyvinyl phenols and polyvinyl butyrals, at least one melamine resin, a plurality of eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles, and at least one solvent. Also provided herein is an electronic device comprising a substrate, conductive features disposed on the substrate, a conductive electrical component disposed over the conductive features, and a conductive adhesive composition disposed between the conductive features and the conductive electrical component. Further disclosed herein are methods of making a conductive adhesive composition.

Abstract: A transport item moves in a process direction to transport sheets of media. The transport item is positioned between an inkjet printhead and a receptacle. The inkjet printhead has nozzles. The transport item has openings arranged in a pattern, the pattern of the openings is consistent along all of the transport item, and the pattern of the openings in the transport item aligns at least one opening with each of the locations of the nozzles as the transport item moves in the process direction. The nozzles eject ink through the openings to the receptacle when the nozzles are aligned with the openings. When controlling the nozzles to eject ink through the openings to the receptacle, a controller can control the nozzles to simultaneously eject ink on a sheet of media while ejecting ink through the openings to the receptacle.

Abstract: An intermediate roller positioned between a fountain solution vapor supply and an imaging member decouples fountain solution vapor deposition from the surface of the imaging member. The intermediate roller may be temperature controlled. A uniform layer of fountain solution condenses onto the surface of the temperature controlled intermediate roller regardless of the imaging blanket temperature. The fountain solution condensate layer deposited onto the intermediate roller splits and deposits a thin uniform layer of fountain solution liquid onto the imaging member surface. This liquid layer split may be independent of the temperature of the imaging member surface, resulting in a uniform layer of fountain solution on the imaging blanket for better imaging quality. Remotely locating the vaporizing chamber away from the imaging member prevents undesired heat transfer from a hot vaporizing chamber/baffle to the imaging member surface.

Abstract: A printer system includes a memory, a processor, and one or more printer heads. The processor determines a number of transmission layers and a number of barrier layers to use in a color changing expiration indicator based at least in part on a time period between a print date of the indicator and a received expiration date. The printer heads print a reactive layer onto print media, where at least a portion of the reactive layer is configured to migrate through the transmission layers. The printer heads also print the determined number of transmission layers and the determined number of barrier layers in alternation. The printer heads print a reactant layer that is configured to change color responsive to a reaction between the reactant layer and the reactive layer upon migration of the reactive layer through the transmission layers. The reaction is configured to occur on the received expiration date.

Provision is made for a user to generate a domain-specific process model with links to business objects in the domain specification. The domain-specific process model is transformed to a domain-independent process model which has access to the database through the application program interface at runtime.
