    Abstract: A method and a system of three-dimensional (3D) printing are provided. The method of 3D printing is adapted to a 3D printing apparatus and includes following steps: slicing a 3D object model into a plurality of sub-slicing layers according to a printing plane; merging a default number of adjacent sub-slicing layers into a plurality of grey-scale slicing layers; and, printing a 3D object according to the grey-scale slicing layers. The thickness of each sub-slicing layer is thinner than the thickness of a default layer used whenever the 3D printing apparatus performs a single printing process. The thickness of each of the grey-scale slicing layers is equal to the thickness of the default layer used whenever the 3D printing apparatus performs the single printing process.

The heater heats and melts the filament, and the filament that has been melted moves from the feed channel into the second through hole to be extruded. The baffle member is configured to adjust a degree of communication between the feed channel and the second through hole.

The method first generates, for each printing layer of a 3D model file, a color image which is applied to print an outer contour part and a non-color image which is applied to print an internal structure part. The method then calculates replacing information according to a default adjusting module, and adjusts color information of the color image and adhesive information of the non-color image based on the replacing information. Finally, the method combines the adjusted color image and non-color image for generating a final printing image, and executes printing according to the final printing image.

The present disclosed example prints the useful object via the remaining materials after the material switching which effectively reduces the cost with of multi-materials printing.

    Abstract: A printing slicing method for 3D model for automatically adding a required supporting structure to a 3D model is disclosed. The method includes following steps. Retrieve a minimum overlapping ratio corresponding to a layer height. Execute a slicing process and analyze an overlapping ratio between two molded object slices which form a suspended slope. Add the supporting structure below the corresponding suspended slope when determining that the overlapping ratio is less than the minimum overlap ratio. This disclosed example can effectively prevent the suspended part of a printed 3D model entity from a deformation because of the adhesion area thereon is too small, and can also effectively save the printing time and the usage amount of supplies.
