  • Patent number: 6782839
Abstract: A hydrofoil (1) comprises a bottom (23) formed with two front and rear steps (3 and 4), and a strut (31) supporting a submerged hydrofoil (21) arranged between the two steps (3 and 4). The strut (31) can be switched between a storage state and a navigation state by its forward-and-backward rotation. A threshold value of dynamic lift (F) obtained by the hydrofoil (21) can be established arbitrarily, and the dynamic lift can be held to the set value by keeping the strut (31) in the navigation state correspondingly to the established threshold value of hydrofoil-dynamic-lift, thereby enabling the dynamic lift to be held at the established value during navigation. Moreover, based on draft (WL) or trim angle (TR) during the boat-berthing, a set value of hydrofoil-dynamic-lift and a set value of tilt angle of a propulsor (22) or a flap (22a) attached to the rear of hull can be accommodated.

  • Patent number: 6463905
Abstract: An engine working machine formed by storing a radiator and a cooling fan, for leading heat exchange air for the radiator, in a package together with an engine and a working machine. Wherein a storage space for the engine and working machine is separate from a ventilating port, which communicates with a space between the radiator and the cooling fan. The space is shielded by partitions from an air leading space to which air is led after being passed through the radiator by the cooling fan. A cooling air leading port for externally cooling the engine and the working machine is formed in a part of the package so that outside air led from the cooling air leading port passes the storing space and is exhausted from the ventilating port to the air leading space, to which air is led after having passed through the radiator.

  • Patent number: 6330797
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit which, when applied to a turning excavator having hydraulic actuators for the working arms and the turning excavator body supplied with pressure oil from three pumps, can increase the operation speed of the booms and arms without providing a separate hydraulic pump to improve the work efficiency. During the individual driving, the boom cylinder (CY1) is supplied with a pressure oil from the first and third pumps (P1, P3), the arm cylinder (CY2) from the second and third pumps (P2, P3), the bucket cylinder (CY3) from the first pump (P1), and the turning motor (M) from the third pump (P3). During the simultaneous driving of the boom and arm cylinders (CY1, CY2), the arm is supplied with an operation speed increasing pressure oil from the third pump (P3). When the boom cylinder (CY1) and the turning motor (M) are simultaneously operated, a part of the pressure oil to the turning motor (M) from the third pump (P3) is supplied to the boom cylinder (CY2).

  • Patent number: 6289720
Abstract: A method for controlling knocking of an internal combustion engine in which a knocking signal and a combustion signal are formed by directing vibrations detected by a vibration sensor through a primary filter circuit including a combustion filter circuit and a knocking filter circuit. The combustion filter circuit and knocking filter circuit each include a time gate and a filter. A ratio of a representative value of the knocking signal to a representative value of the combustion signal is obtained and used to decide whether knocking is occurring. The output voltage of control signals generated based on the decision that knocking is occurring may be varied as a function of the strength of the knocking and/or the frequency of the knocking.

  • Patent number: 6290009
Abstract: When a conventional swivel working vehicle is constructed such that a real part of a swivel body is not extended beyond a traveling device in order to improve an operability at a small site, a balance weight must he significantly increased in weight so as to prevent falling and tumbling of a machine body. In the invention, left and right core metal projections of a crawler are laterally offset from a center line of the crawler and right and left lugs are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the crawler. The lugs are formed to assume the same shape on the right and left sides or laterally symmetrical shapes or occupy the same area on the right and left sides, and to be symmetrically shaped about a center of rotation of the swivel body between the left and right crawlers of the machine body.

  • Patent number: 5992393
Abstract: A diesel engine having cylinders disposed in a V shape is constructed as compact as possible so that it can be adapted to either vertical and horizontal use without changing many parts. To this end, intake and exhaust cams and a fuel injection pump driving cam are disposed on a single camshaft to thereby obviate the necessity of a plurality of camshafts. In addition, a fuel pump, which has conventionally been disposed in a separate fuel injection pump case outside a cylinder block, is disposed inside the cylinder block. Furthermore, a fuel injection nozzle is disposed on an inner side of a pushrod and the pushrod and fuel injection nozzle are disposed between the cylinders, whereby a compact construction is obtained. Moreover, a governor device and a fuel injection pump are disposed on a side opposite to a crankshaft of the camshaft.
