The metal working rod has two action sections, each action section has a polygonal portion, and each polygonal portion has an insertion hole. When one of the two action sections is inserted in the assembly hole, one of the two polygonal portions is engaged with the polygonal coupling part, the other action section is assembled to a suitable tool head, and a torque exerting element may be used to exert torque to the other polygonal portion or the insertion hole thereof. Accordingly, it is possible to provide versatility by having interchangeable tool heads on a top end and a bottom end of the metal working rod, and increasing torque on the top end and the bottom end.

By rotating the rotary sleeve, the movable sleeve pushes the ball into the non-circular cavity and the pin into the slit.
