  • Patent number: 4459092
Abstract: An ornament plate supplied into a mold is punched out from a continuous sheet by a peripheral knife edge at an end of a press core member and advanced to a place which defines a part of a molding cavity. The press core member has a concave space in the end face thereof surrounded by the knife edge, the area of the concaved space being equal, in developed view, to the plane area of the punched ornament plate. The press core member has applied therethrough vacuum by which the punched ornament plate is attracted to the concave end face of the press core member during injection of molten thermoplastic resin.

  • Patent number: 4421705
Abstract: The present invention is carried out in combination with the injection molding of a closure cap or container, wherein a continuous sealing strip having a thermoplastic resin layer on the inner surface thereof is supplied intermittently. Then a reciprocable molding member having a sharp edge at the tip thereof is advanced through the sealing strip to a position where a molding cavity in the injection mold defining a pour-out hole of a closure cap or container is closed by a sealing piece punched out from the sealing strip, and thereafter a thermoplastic resin is injected into the molding cavity.

  • Patent number: 4403932
Abstract: An apparatus for loading cosmetic material into a hollow space includes a porous absorbent block arranged to define at least a part of a closed hollow space. A cosmetic material is injected into the closed hollow space, the cosmetic material being prepared by mixing powder cosmetic material with a binder and solvent. The absorbent block is separated from the cosmetic material solidified in the hollow space. Solvent which is absorbed by the absorbent block is removed therefrom after separating the block from the solidified cosmetic material.

  • Patent number: 4399826
Abstract: A vanity case is provided in which an angularly shaped unlatch member including a horizontally extended portion and a vertically extended portion is pivotably connected at the angular corner thereof to either one of a receptacle and a cover member in a rectangular recess. The unlatch member is so arranged that when one of the extended portions is pressed to have the unlatch member pivot about the corner, the other extended portion acts on a flat surface of the other of the cover and the receptacle so as to release a snap engagement between the cover and the receptacle members.

  • Patent number: 4392503
Abstract: A vanity case is provided in which an unlatch member is housed in a rectangular recess formed in either one of a receptacle member and a cover member and has its one end formed as a free end extending upwardly while the other end retained in the recess. The free end is arranged to lie closely adjacent to a marginal portion of the other member in a closed position of the cover and also arranged to move inwardly to apply such force as to separate the cover from the receptacle, thereby releasing the engagement of the latching members when the unlatch member is pushed inwardly.

  • Patent number: 4387730
Abstract: In a vanity case, such as a compact case, comprising a receptacle member and a hinged cover member arranged to be latched with each other by snap action, a recess is formed in one of the members in which a slider element having an enlarged outer end is provided in such a manner that when the slider element is pushed inwardly, the enlarged outer end exerts such a force as to separate the one member from the other member by releasing the latching therebetween. The slider element is urged forwardly by a spring member provided in the recess.
