Abstract: A rope comprises a core extending along a longitudinal axis and a sheath surrounding the core, the sheath extending along the longitudinal axis. A strap at least partially surrounds the sheath, the strap being separated from the core by the sheath. At least one thread passes several times through the strap, sheath and core to form several links fixedly securing the strap on the core and sheath. The links pass through a central section of the core, the central section corresponding to a circular section representing less than 50% of the cross-section of the core. The links are angularly offset from one another when observed along the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A camming clamping device includes a head, a cam and a spring biasing the cam to an extended position. A textile wire element connects the cam to a trigger fitted movable between first and second positions. The cam defines a first hole and a second hole. The textile wire element passes through the first hole and second hole to introduce friction between the textile wire element and the cam. A terminal portion of the textile wire element passes through a third hole connecting the sides of the cam and/or is wedged in a groove arranged in one of the sides. The terminal portion of the textile wire element is arranged posteriorly to the second hole in a longitudinal direction of the textile wire element away from the trigger.

Abstract: An adjustment system comprises a strap and an adjustment buckle configured to adjust the strap. The adjustment buckle comprises a body defining a first through hole and a second through hole extending over the thickness of the body. A partitioning wall is fixed to the body. The partitioning wall separates the first through hole and the second through hole in a first direction perpendicular to the thickness of the body. The strap makes a loop inside the body and passes round the partitioning wall. A cover is fixed to the body and installed facing the partitioning wall. The cover and the partitioning wall are separated by a larger distance than the thickness of the strap.

Abstract: A headband comprises a strip forming a part of a ring around a user's head. An adjustment device adjusts a circumference of the ring by moving one end of the strip that is fixed to an attachment point movable with respect to the body. A rotary actuator is functionally connected to the adjustment device by means of a transmission so that rotation of the rotary actuator results in movement of the attachment point. The adjustment device comprises a threaded section and a nut. The nut and threaded section form a helical link, wherein rotation of the rotary actuator results in movement of the nut along the threaded section. The nut or threaded section moves along a longitudinal axis of the threaded section and supports the attachment point. A helmet comprises such headband.

Abstract: A rope clamping device comprises a body with a stop and a swivelling cam. A first spring has two ends functionally connected respectively to the cam and to the body by a first mechanical connection and a second mechanical connection. When the selector switch is in an actuation position, the first spring opposes movement of the cam away from the stop. When the selector switch is in an unlocked position, the first spring does not oppose movement of the cam away from the stop or opposes movement of the cam towards the stop. In the unlocked position, the selector switch eliminates one of the first and second mechanical connections or inverts the two mechanical connections.

Abstract: A roping harness includes a belt, a first and a second leg loop, and shoulder straps. The belt has an inner and an outer face. A first loop is fixed to the belt and designed for attachment of the shoulder straps. A second loop is fixed to the belt and is distinct from the first loop, the second loop being designed to form a ventral attachment point. A first strap defines a ring securely fixed to the belt and to the leg loops, the first strap being attached to the belt by a seam. The first and second loops are arranged in the ring, the first loop being outside the second loop and the second loop being outside the first loop. The first loop is arranged facing the second loop in a direction parallel to a first direction that passes through the inner and the outer face of the belt.

Abstract: An energy absorber has a textile element comprising two substrates connected to one another by breaking links and resistant links, the textile element being wound. A container receives the textile element. The container defines a first opening for a first end and a second opening for a second end of the textile element. The resistant link connects a portion of the two substrates and maintains the connection in response to a first stress applied between the first end and the second end. The breaking links break and absorb energy in response to a first stress between the first end and the second end of the textile element. The container is non-openable and defines an access hole opening out facing the centre of the textile element in wound state.

The woven layer has at least one fold defining a fold line extending mainly in the first direction to form the narrow portion, with a support portion and an overlap portion folded onto the support portion. The overlap portion and support portion have common first yarns and second yarns.

Abstract: A textile connector comprises a woven element in the shape of a tubular ring and a yarn forming a plurality of loops arranged in the tubular ring. The loops provide a strength of the textile connector. A seam is formed by means of at least one yarn passing through the two ends of the woven element several times to close the tubular ring. The woven element is a tubular woven element defining a through hole from a first end to an opposite second end along a longitudinal axis. The first end is an outer end that overlaps the second end forming an inner end. The seam secures the outer end with the inner end and defines joins angularly offset from one another when observed in the longitudinal direction.

The woven layer comprises longitudinal yarns and transverse yarns. The longitudinal yarns comprising first yarns extend continuously from the first end to the second end to provide a mechanical strength. The woven layer defines a plurality of transverse strips that are woven and arranged adjacent to one another in the first direction with different mechanical properties. The first yarns present a constant constitution from the first end to the second end. Each transverse strip has a constant constitution of the transverse yarns from the first edge to the second edge.

Abstract: A adaptor bracket for a wide range of removable portable lamps intended to be fixed on various supports or accessories. The bracket has a base or frame having a first supporting lug with a circular groove to engage a first rib and has a second supporting lug with a circular groove to allow engagement of a second rib.
