  • Patent number: 11722858
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards an integrated short message service (SMS) function and short message service center function that delivers mobile terminated messages by selecting among access domains for to endpoints based on their capabilities, e.g., 5G, 5G+, LTE WI-FI, including multimode capabilities. The integrated SMS function determines attributes (e.g., capabilities) of a user equipment destination device for a mobile terminated message, obtains contextual data (e.g., current device reachability, network conditions) for the device, and determines which access and mobility management function (AMF) or mobility management entity (MME) is associated with the device. Based on the various obtained information, the integrated SMS function selects an appropriate access domain based on the capabilities and contextual data, and if the device is reachable, correctly routes the message for delivery. Retry operations can be set up for devices that are not currently reachable.

  • Patent number: 11711720
Abstract: On-demand quality of service guarantees are provided in a wireless network environment. The system determines an on-demand quality of service for a segment of a communication path between a user equipment communicating with a radio access network connected to a core network and an external network connected to the core network. The system then determines if the on-demand quality of service for the segment meets a quality of service requirement. If the on-demand quality of service for the segment does not meet the quality of service requirement, the system identifies an alternate communication path between the user equipment and the external network, wherein the alternate communication path differs from the communication path. The system can then setup the alternate communication path for traffic between the user equipment and the external network.

  • Patent number: 11677980
Abstract: The technology is directed towards image compression and decompression, including for 3D images. A sender device obtains lower resolution sub-images of an original image, captured from different angles. The sender device uses different neural network candidate level data and groups of candidate sub-images to determine selected neural network level data and sub-images that when combined, reconstruct the original image that satisfies a function of quality loss data, for sending to a receiver device. The receiver device receives the neural network level data, the group of sub-images and the reconstruction data, and reconstructs a three-dimensional representation of the original image using the neural network level and the group of sub-images arranged based on the reconstruction data.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards latency diagnostics for multiparty systems, such as a system comprising a communication network, a content delivery network (CDN), and one or more internet service providers (ISPs). A latency analyzer component can process latency data in response to a latency diagnostic trigger, such as an alert from a video quality monitoring system. The latency analyzer can determine whether latency is attributable to the communication network. If not, the latency analyzer can determine whether the latency is attributable to the CDN. If the latency is not attributable to the communication network or the CDN, the latency analyzer can determine that the latency is attributable to the ISP, and the latency analyzer can identify the ISP and generate appropriate reports and notifications.
