  • Publication number: 20190020909
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for adaptive bit rate mobile video objective testing. A system can receive a plurality of screen-capture frames, where each of the plurality of screen-capture frames corresponds to a respective frame of an adaptive bit rate video stream being displayed on a screen of a test device. The system can create a screen-capture video stream and determine that the screen-capture video stream corresponds to a reference video stream that is non-annotated. The system can obtain a reference video signature package, align the screen-capture video stream with the reference video stream using the reference video signature package, generate full reference video quality performance indicators, and determine delivery quality performance indicators for the screen-capture video stream. The system can join the full reference video quality performance indicators and the delivery quality performance indicators to form an objective quality of experience data structure.

  • Patent number: 10182155
Abstract: A system for directing calls using historical call backs, demographics, and real time attributes is disclosed. In particular, the system may receive incoming calls at an interactive voice response system. Based on speech occurring during the calls, the system may determine attributes of the callers. The system may then utilize the determined attributes, call records, demographic information pertaining to account owners, real time call attribute assessment systems, regression analyses, and various types of information to direct the calls from the interactive voice response system to an optimal agent for handling. Notably, the system may direct the calls to those agents that have a higher probability of successful interaction with the calling parties so as to reduce follow-up calls, which may be costly to the entity receiving the calls. A subset of the calls may be directed to agents at random so as to facilitate the collection of unbiased information.

  • Patent number: 10178064
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to per-session invocation of priority services based upon network available information. A service architecture can include a service architecture core and a service execution runtime framework in which a priority service application is executable to perform operations to provide a priority service for a communications session. The priority service application can determine whether a priority service should be invoked for the communications session based upon priority criteria. If a determination is made that the priority service is to be invoked for the communications session based upon the priority criteria, the priority service application can invoke the priority service for the communications session.

Abstract: A cell site can be configured to have a first group of antennas arranged to provide coverage around the cell site and a second group of interleaved antennas that are interleaved between the antennas of the first group. The two groups can communicate at different frequency sets so that the two groups do not interfere with one another. Service nulls of one group that would otherwise be created by interference and low RSSI between antennas from the same group can be covered by the main beam of the other group, which can significantly improve SINR.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to route traffic in a virtual private network are disclosed herein. Example methods include replacing, by executing an instruction with a processor at a first provider router, a first next hop address included in first route information with a second next hop address. The first next hop address identifies a first edge router of a plurality of edge routers in a first region and the second next hop address identifies the first provider router. The provider router is not at an edge of a provider network included in the virtual private network and the first route information identifies a first route to a customer address in a customer network coupled to the first edge router. The methods also include advertising the first route information having the second next hop address to the plurality of edge routers if data traffic is to access a service.

Abstract: Wireless communication network access is facilitated via multiple logic-capable storage (MLCS) devices. One method comprises: scanning a record of records stored in a MLCS device to determine whether a communication device associated with a request for communication establishment has a defined functionality; and generating information indicative of the communication device failing to have the defined functionality based on identifying a value range inclusive of an identifier of the communication device and based on determining that the MLCS device is a negative logic storage device, wherein the MLCS device is programmable to have a first type of logic at a first time and a second type of logic at a second time. The first type of logic can be the negative logic type and the second type of logic can be a positive logic type.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to wireless network enhancements via inductance loops as antennas. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a roadside system can measure inductance of an inductance loop associated with a road. The roadside system can determine whether the inductance of the inductance loop is greater than a baseline. If the inductance of the inductance loop is greater than the baseline, the roadside system can determine that a vehicle is positioned over the inductance loop and can utilize the inductance loop to activate a roadside area network. The roadside system can connect a user device to the roadside system via the roadside area network. The roadside system can include a connection to a network via a backhaul to enable communication between the user device and the network.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a request from a portable device for authentication to a first WLAN, where the device user is not registered as a WLAN user. An identifier of the device is compared with entries in a list associated with the WLAN and, responsive to a first determination that the identifier corresponds to an entry in the list, wireless access for using the first WLAN is facilitated. Responsive to a second determination that the identifier does not correspond to an entry in the list, a message is transmitted to equipment of a network subscriber regarding the request. Responsive to approval of the request, wireless access to a broadband network using the first WLAN is facilitated; the portable device provides a second WLAN for initiating a second communication session via the device that provides broadband access to a plurality of Wi-Fi enabled devices.

Abstract: An insider attack resistant system for providing cloud services integrity checking is disclosed. In particular, the system utilizes an automated integrity checking script and virtual machines to check the integrity of a service. The system may utilize the integrity checking script and virtual machines to execute a set of operations associated with the service so as to check the integrity of the service. When executing the set of operations, the system may only have access to the minimum level of access to peripherals that is required for each operation in the set of operations to be executed. After each operation is executed, the system may log each result for each operation, and analyze each result to determine if a failure exists for any of the operations. If a failure exists, the system may determine that a change in an expected system behavior associated with the service has occurred.
