  • Patent number: 11930040
Abstract: Malicious attacks by certain devices against a radio access network (RAN) can be detected and mitigated, while allowing communication of priority messages. A security management component (SMC) can determine whether a malicious attack against the RAN is occurring based on a defined baseline that indicates whether a malicious attack is occurring. The defined baseline is determined based on respective characteristics associated with respective devices that are determined based on analysis of information relating to the devices. In response to determining there is a malicious attack, SMC determines whether to block connections of devices to the RAN based on respective priority levels associated with respective messages being communicated by the devices.

  • Patent number: 11930369
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards network slice pre-configuration for cellular communication systems, including 5G and subsequent generation cellular communication systems. Network equipment can be preconfigured to identify whether a network slice identifier included in a network communication belongs to a group of network slice identifiers. If so, the network equipment can process the network communication either according to a network slice rule that corresponds specifically to the network slice identifier, or according to a default group network slice rule for the group to which the network slice identifier belongs. Different groups of network slice identifiers can be associated with different sets of group network slice rules which can be arranged to reduce the work of setting up network slice identifiers in various network slicing scenarios.

A block can be added to the activity log, and a hash of a portion of the activity log can be generated and sent to the hash ledger storage service. The hash ledger storage service can be configured to append the hash of the portion of the activity log to the hash ledger that represents the activity log for the entity.

Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to configuring carrier aggregation zones based on transmission information in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include identifying, by carrier aggregation equipment including a processor, carrier transmission information corresponding to a first carrier signal and a second carrier signal. The method can further include analyzing, by the carrier aggregation equipment, the carrier transmission information to determine first overlap zone information representative of a first carrier overlap zone for the first carrier signal and the second carrier signal. Further, based on the first overlap zone information, the method includes facilitating configuring transmission parameter information representative of a transmission parameter applicable to transmission of the first carrier signal, to enable carrier aggregation by network equipment within the first carrier overlap zone.

Abstract: A flexible service-based architecture (SBA) for next generation communication networks is described. In an embodiment, a method performed by a system comprising a processor comprises receiving a service request for provision of a data communication service to a communication device via a communication network comprising a plurality of different network resources defined by resource components and sub-components of the resource components. In response to receiving the service request, accessing network resource abstraction information that identifies the resource components, and the sub-components respectively associated with the resource components, and selecting a subset of the different network resources for the provision of the data communication service to the communication device based a service criterion associated with the data communication service.

Abstract: Cellular connections can be used to provision non-cellular devices such as internet-of-things (IoT) devices. For example, IoT devices can comprise Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular capabilities. However, the cellular capability can be used to provision the IoT devices using non-internet protocol data delivery to prevent security vulnerabilities. Data can be transmitted to the IoT device using core elements without using an IP stack. Thus, IoT device configurations and the keys can be provisioned over-the-air without the use of internet protocol data.
