Abstract: Facilitating elastic distributed computing for resource intensive tasks including split rendering in advanced networks is provided herein. Operations of a system include receiving information indicative of a request for split rendering for an application executing at a user equipment. The information is received via a session description protocol session. The operations can also include, based on the information indicative of the request, determining that an available computational resource capacity at the user equipment is insufficient to process the application executing at the user equipment. Further, the operations can include, based on the determining, enabling a first rendering of a first portion of the application at a first device and a second rendering of a second portion of the application at a second device different from the first device.

  • Patent number: 12677183
Abstract: The subject disclosure presents a device that intelligently manages network connectivity between a user device and a network edge cloud instance. The device monitors a key performance metric for the network path and determines if it falls below a defined threshold. If the metric is unsatisfactory, the device responds by adjusting a network parameter associated with that path, such as signal strength, packet loss, or bandwidth. This targeted adjustment helps maintain optimal communication and service quality between the user device and the edge cloud. By actively monitoring and adapting network parameters in response to real-time conditions, the device ensures reliable and efficient access to edge cloud services, offering a more responsive and robust solution compared to conventional approaches. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12675778
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards devices (nonhuman entities) participating in social networks. Devices that join a nonhuman social network can share information, can learn from other devices, can assist in performing tasks and so forth. A device can search for an existing nonhuman social network that matches its criteria for joining a nonhuman social network, such as a nonhuman social network of the same type of devices, a nonhuman social network within a certain neighborhood, and so on. A device can form a nonhuman social network if one does not exist that meets the device's social network join criteria. A device's user may need to give approval to join and/or form a social network. A human social network can interact with a nonhuman social network, and there can be hybrid social networks of both human and nonhuman entities. A device can change social networks over time.

  • Patent number: 12676883
Abstract: A distributed denial of service (ā€œDDoSā€) attack profiler can determine a plurality of DDoS attack properties associated with a DDoS attack that utilizes an Internet of Things (ā€œIoTā€) device operating in communication with a home gateway. The DDoS attack profiler can create a DDoS attack profile and can provide a DDoS attack report based upon the DDoS attack profile to a correlator. An IoT device profiler can determine a plurality of IoT device properties and can create, based upon the plurality of IoT device properties, an IoT device profile. The IoT device profiler can create an anomaly report that identifies an anomaly associated with the IoT device. The correlator can correlate the DDoS attack report with the anomaly report to determine if a match exists. In response to determining that the match exists, the home gateway system can store the bot match record in a bot match repository.

  • Patent number: 12676806
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a flow of data packets between first and second network addresses of a network, with each packet including respective header and payload portions. The identified flow of data packets is monitored over a number of sample periods to obtain a number of monitored results. A data-flow activity record is generated, having a number of symbols corresponding to the number of monitored results, the symbols including an active symbol value indicative of a presence of an exchange of data and an idle symbol value indicative of an absence of an exchange of data. A suitability of the identified data flow is inferred for estimating a throughput of the network according to the data-flow activity record without interpreting contents of each respective packet payload portion. Other embodiments are disclosed.
