Additionally, an authentication system can access, from an authentication database, authentication codes associated with authentic garments. The authentication system can calculate a confidence score based on a comparison of the validation code with one of the authentication codes. Subsequently, a publication system can cause a presentation, on a display of a device, a verification that the garment is authentic when the confidence score is above a predetermined threshold.
