  • Patent number: 7526441
Abstract: A parts list system used for part number management is composed of a parts table database and a parts list controller. The parts table database includes a parts list which stores a state data and a part number data. The state data indicates a progress state of a part. And the part number data includes a number of the part as an identifier. The parts list controller inhibits change of the part number data, when the state data indicates prohibition of the change of the part number data.

  • Patent number: 7526358
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a three-dimensional CAD-system for adding data about a drafting direction of a die to three-dimensional data about the part to be formed by that die, and a cost calculation system for calculating the cost of the part based on that drafting direction data. A three-dimensional model generation unit of a CAD system generates: a three-dimensional shaped model of a given part based on information coming from an input operation unit. A drafting direction data setting unit establishes drafting direction data when the input operation unit is operated to designate the drafting direction of the die for press molding, injection molding or the like of the part in question. A projected area calculation unit calculates a projected area S of the part on a plane perpendicular to the drafting direction of the applicable die on the basis of the three-dimensional model of that part and the drafting direction data involved.

  • Patent number: 7503463
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for providing easier, more ergonomic access to parts stored in a shipping container to be used in a manufacturing environment. Shipping containers having trays with packaging cells for containing production parts may be accessed by a person whose responsibility it is to remove the parts from the container for use on an assembly line, for example. By enabling the trays containing packaging cells to be moved forward as parts are removed from the container, the person's job is rendered easier to access parts that would have otherwise remained at the rear of the container. In a preferred embodiment, the packaging cells or packs are arranged to slidably move closer to the person removing the parts.

  • Patent number: 7500512
Abstract: The present invention aims to cool high tension electrical equipment efficiently with a small, lightweight device. The high tension electrical equipment cooling structure is provided for cooling batteries which supply electricity to the operating motor via an inverter, and the inverter using cooling air, and comprises an equipment box for guiding cooling air introduced from a cooling air inlet port into a cooling air outlet port, and a fan for introducing cooling air from the cooling air inlet port. A shutter that consists of an elastic material is disposed inside the intake duct. The shutter closes off the cooling air flow path, and when negative pressure is generated downstream of the shutter due to the operation of the fan, the shutter undergoes elastic deformation, and as a result, the cooling air flow path is opened.

  • Patent number: 7501147
Abstract: A method for coating a liquid sealant (61) at a periphery of a gas flow path and a water flow path on a separator for a fuel cell (57), including the steps of, at a coating-start portion (63) of the sealant, making a nozzle portion (33) provided at the sealant coating apparatus (24) be nearer to the separator than at portions other than the coating-start portion, and moving the nozzle portion at a horizontal moving velocity which is slower than at the portions other than the coating-start portion. By making the nozzle portion be near to the separator, pressing force pressing the sealant which is discharged from the nozzle portion against the separator becomes large, and turning up of a distal end portion of the sealant can be prevented by making the sealant adhere more to the separator. Further, by lowering the horizontal moving velocity of the nozzle portion, the sealant can be coated at a more uniform thickness.

  • Patent number: 7493192
Abstract: A desired trajectory of a vertical component of a translation floor reaction force of a legged mobile robot 1, a vertical component of a total center-of-gravity acceleration or a body acceleration's vertical component of the robot 1 is determined, and a desired vertical position of a total center-of-gravity or body of the robot 1 is determined in such a manner that the vertical component of the translation floor reaction force, the vertical component of the total center-of-gravity acceleration or the body acceleration's vertical component agrees with the desired trajectory (that is, a dynamical equilibrium condition in the vertical direction is satisfied). Since the movement of the total center-of-gravity or the like in the vertical direction is determined after the desired trajectory of the vertical component of the translation floor reaction force or the like, a desired gait for the robot 1 suitable not only for walking but also for running can be generated.

  • Patent number: 7475541
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle is equipped with an internal combustion engine, a motor/generator, and a Rankine cycle system for recovering thermal energy of exhaust gas. The output of the Rankine cycle system is input into a transmission or, alternatively, converted into electric power and used for charging a battery. The Rankine cycle system has temperature setter that sets the temperature of steam at the outlet of an evaporator. A pressure setter is provided for setting steam pressure at the inlet of an expander. A pressure controller is provided for controlling the steam pressure at the inlet of the expander. The evaporator generates steam to be supplied at a pressure that is optimum for the expansion ratio of the expander. • Patent number: 7474765
Abstract: An image processing unit determines the size of a circumscribed quadrangle of the target object, and predicts the overlap of the two different objects. If overlap is predicted, the target object is divided into two divided regions L_b and R_b containing the left and right edges of the target object respectively, and by performing a correlation calculation between the left image and the right image captured by a stereo camera for each of the divided regions, the parallaxes of the respective divided regions L_b and R_b can be determined. Then, if the absolute value of the difference between the parallaxes of the respective divided regions L_b and R_b is greater than a predetermined value, a determination is made that different objects are overlapping within the target object, and the target object is divided for recognition, and the distance to the respective objects is calculated independently.

Abstract: A fuel cell stack (10) includes a first sub-stack (12), a second sub-stack (14), and a third sub-stack (16) disposed in the flow direction of an oxidizing gas. An intermediate plate (18a) is interposed between the first and second sub-stacks (12, 14), and an intermediate plate (18b) is interposed between the second and third sub-stacks (14, 16). In this fuel stack (10), the flow of an oxidizing gas is set such that the oxidizing gas flows in series in the direction from the first sub-stack (12) to the third sub-stack (16). Between the sub-stacks additional oxidizing gas supplies (70,74) are provided through which oxidizing gas of lower humidity than the humidity of the oxidizing gas entering the first sub-stack is supplied. This arrangement allows an efficient management of the humidity water content of the oxidizing gas with sufficient moisturizing of the solid polymer membrane whilst avoiding excessive condensation of water vapour within the stack.

  • Patent number: 7448459
Abstract: A method for detecting an abnormality in a hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle includes an engine that can run in a cylinder cut-off state where intake and exhaust valve lifts are made zero, and a motor/generator that functions as both a motor and a generator. The vehicle travels by means of the power of at least one of the engine and the motor/generator and carries out regenerative braking by the motor/generator while running the engine in a cylinder cut-off state during deceleration. When detecting an abnormality in a negative intake pressure sensor or an EGR control valve based on the negative intake pressure of the engine, the engine is prohibited from running in a cylinder cut-off state even during deceleration, thus generating a negative intake pressure and thereby enabling the abnormality detection to be carried out without any problems.
