Abstract: The liquid diffuser adapter is intended to be attached to the arbor wheel of a center fed, wet stone fabrication machine to facilitate dust elimination. The adapter contains a fastener, a plurality of diffusing channels, and a protective coating. The fastener includes a main body, a flange, and a receptive cavity. The flange is concentrically and adjacently connected to the main body. The receptive cavity traverses through the flange and partially into the main body. The receptive cavity contains an opening, a threaded portion, and a hub portion. The threaded portion is used to attach the adapter to the arbor wheel through the opening; the hub portion allows for water to flow into the device and be redirected into the plurality of diffusing channels; the plurality of diffusing channels is radially positioned about the receptive cavity, connecting the hub portion to the exterior environment and thus the cutting disk.
Abstract: An optical passive repeater is provided. The repeater is operated under a state of polariton Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC). A phase transition from a thermal polariton state to a condensed polariton state is controlled, where system temperatures and densities are lower than thermal dissociation temperatures and nonlinear saturation densities, respectively. Original input multimode laser signals are transformed into final output single-mode laser signals. Thus, the polariton BEC passive repeater becomes a power-efficient and low-cost device to increase the reach of optical links without sacrificing its signal quality and integrity.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided. Some embodiments include generating credentials for accessing a transmission service; sending, from a first application to a second application, the credentials and a request to perform operations related to a scan job; receiving, at the first application from the second application, credentials from the second application, and a request to access the transmission service; determining whether the credentials from the second application are valid; and in response to determining that the credentials from the second application are valid, getting a file from the second application using the transmission service; and sending the file to a destination.

Abstract: A seal stack including a sealing element including an annular seal ring having a diameter and an axis defined therethrough perpendicular to the diameter, a groove defined in the seal ring, wherein the groove has an opening at a first end of the seal ring, and a swellable energizer disposed in the groove, wherein the swellable energizer swells upon exposure to a solvent causing the seal ring to expand. The seal stack also includes a first annular back-up and a second annular back-up provided at opposing ends of the sealing element, wherein said first back-up includes an interior surface that receives a second end of the sealing element.
Abstract: A method and apparatus provides for controlling the distribution and installation of operating systems. In one example, the method and apparatus partitions a storage device of a device into a first partition and a second partition. The method and apparatus installs a first operating system into the first partition of the storage device, obtains an image of the second operating system, the image including at least the second operating system pre-configured for operation with the device, and installs, using the first operating system, the image of the operating system to the second partition of the storage device. In an embodiment, the image is transmitted from one or more other devices. In an embodiment, two or more images are cached on the device according to the likelihood they will be used in the future.

Abstract: Described is a miniature tunable filter, comprising at least two adjacent coaxial-type resonators coupled to one another. Each coaxial-type resonator comprises a metal-coated ceramic dielectric cavity having a tuning rod passage formed therethrough. A tuning rod is inserted through the tuning rod passage, such that the miniature tunable filter is tuned by moving the tuning rod into and out of the tuning rod passage of the ceramic dielectric cavity. A low impedance coaxial section surrounds at least a portion of the tuning rod to create an effective microwave short-circuit at a resonant frequency of the miniature tunable filter, which results in very wide tuning and low insertion loss. In a desired aspect, the tuning rod is a solid metal tuning rod. The combination of a solid metal tuning rod with a ceramic coaxial-type resonator results in high radio frequency power handling.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling the same are provided. The method includes receiving a touch input from a side area on a touch screen for more than a predefined amount of time; setting a touch-lock area on the touch screen based on an area of the detection of the touch input; and displaying the touch-lock area differently from the rest of the touch screen so as to be easily distinguishable. Therefore, it is possible to effectively set a touch-lock area on the touch screen and thus to prevent the mobile terminal from performing an operation against the will of a user.
