  • Patent number: 11966593
Abstract: Storage array health scores based on alerts are auto-corrected by using alert validation and alert matching to identify missed, stale, and redundant alerts. In response to restoration of an event daemon or reboot of a storage management server, each alert associated with each storage array is validated to determine whether current state of storage array hardware or a logical object differs from the state indicated in the alert. Alerts that differ from current state are updated or invalidated and the health score is recalculated. Responsive to receipt of a new alert, existing alerts associated with the same storage array hardware or logical object are identified and Jaro-Winkler distance between the identified alerts and the new alert is calculated. Any existing alert for which the Jaro-Winkler distance relative to the new alert is greater than or equal to 0.9 is deleted and the health score is recalculated.

  • Patent number: 11965774
Abstract: A vibration dose measurement apparatus 10 for an operator's hand 1 comprises a sensing assembly 20 connected to a control unit 25. The sensing assembly 20 comprises an accelerometer 21, gyroscope 22, and gripping force sensor 23 and may be packaged within a protective housing (not shown). By monitoring output of the sensor assembly 20, the vibration dose experienced by the hand 1 can be estimated. In the present invention, the provision of gripping force sensor 23 allows for vibration dose measurement to be adjusted based on the output of gripping force sensor 23. This can therefore take into account the force applied by an operator in gripping machinery, which can impact significantly on the effective vibration dose.

  • Patent number: 11962444
Abstract: A first communication device generates a PHY preamble of a PHY data unit to include a first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol corresponding to a legacy signal field. The legacy signal field includes i) a length subfield, and ii) a rate subfield. The length subfield and the rate subfield indicate a duration of the PHY data unit, and the legacy signal field is formatted according to a legacy second communication protocol. The first communication device generates the PHY preamble of a PHY data unit to include a second OFDM symbol corresponding to a duplicate of the legacy signal field, and a plurality of additional OFDM symbols corresponding to a non-legacy signal field. The first communication device sets the length subfield of the legacy signal field to a length value such that a remainder value resulting from dividing the length value by three, indicates that the PHY data unit conforms to the first communication protocol.
