  • Patent number: 4923242
Abstract: A vehicle cap having unitary male mating structure for mounting and sealing with a female mating structure unitary to a boat. The male mounting structure includes two shoulders or recesses where the second shoulder seals and supports the female mating structure while the first shoulder recesses, but does not engage the wall of the boat to form an integral, aerodynamic structure. Rollers on the cap and struts joining the boat and cap guide the movement of the boat during both loading and unloading.

  • Patent number: 4922837
Abstract: A safe having multiple openings in the form of drawers, with each of the drawers having a different color. The material placed into any one of the drawers passes from the drawer into a container located below the drawer in the safe. Each of the containers bears the same color as the drawer with which it communicates. A door over the safe prevents the unauthorized access to or removal of the containers from the safe. Catches, attached to each of the drawers, prevent their unauthorized removal from the safe. Each of the drawers may also include a separate lock to prevent entrance into the drawer except by authorized individuals.

  • Patent number: 4923571
Abstract: A screw conveyor for conveying containers such as bottles and cans is arranged adjacent a guide rail which restrains the containers to stay in the groove of the screw until they are discharged, this being known per se. The angles for the screw conveyor and guide rail are adjustable to assure guidance of the center points of containers of any size along the same straight line without relying on inserting test containers. The guide rail is supporting on a transversely movable carriage and is pivotable thereon. The undriven end of the screw is supported on a member which is movable by a small amount. Stop elements such as bolts having different lengths are mounted in groups on a slidable member to enable positioning concurrently a stop element for the screw conveyor and a stop element for the guide rail pertaining to a particular container size and the stop elements react against stops on the carriage and the screw conveyor support member.

  • Patent number: 4923495
Abstract: A latch mechanism adapted to lock a movable pull roll support to a fixed pull roll support in a mineral fiber attenuation apparatus. A latch arm is pivotally attached intermediate its length to the movable support and is spring biased into locking engagement with a latch seat on the fixed roll support. The latching surface of the latch arm and the mating surface of the latch seat are substantially perpendicular to a plane extending through the end of the latch seat and the pivotal attachment. This causes the latch to release upon relatively low pressure being applied to the opposite end of the latch arm.

  • Patent number: 4923637
Abstract: To obtain stable and high conductivity carbon fiber, hydrocarbon is thermodecomposed in vapor phase into carbon fiber with such a crystal structure that carbon hexagonal net planes thereof are arranged substantially in parallel to fiber axis and in annular ring growth fashion around the fiber axis, and then the carbon fiber is pulverized into 10 .mu.m or less long carbon fiber. Since the carbon fiber is pulverized into relatively short length, when mixed with resin or rubber material without damaging the carbon crystal structure, it is possible to obtain stable and high conductivity resin or rubber material. Further, it is also possible to effectively infiltrate reactive substance to between the carbon hexagonal net planes to form further higher conductivity carbon intercalation compound.

  • Patent number: 4922578
Abstract: The present invention relates to shoe sole cleaner 1 comprising a power section 2 and a brush section 3. The brush section is essentially planelike and it includes brush rods. The power section and the brush section are placed at a distance from each other. The power section is provided with a fluid power supply. The brush section includes a vibrating member such as a piston in a piston and cylinder combination. The fluid power supply is connected to the vibrating member by a fluid transmission means such as a pipe 5. The vibrating member is in contact with the brush rods and by means of the vibrating member the brush rods are made to move in a desired back and forth motion. The shoe sole cleaner according to the invention is low in construction so that it fits in the place of ordinary doormats. The cleaner can be extended simply by connecting serveral similar brush sections together as a large shoe sole cleaner.

  • Patent number: 4923175
Abstract: A gear box trailer support having axially fixed gears in the gear box, including axially fixed larger and smaller input means on an input shaft, and axially fixed smaller and larger output gear elements of a gear cluster on the output cross shaft to the bevel gear drive for the elevating screw in the telescopic leg subassembly. The input gears are in constant engagement with their mating respective output gears. Shifting between high speed low torque output and low speed high torque output is achieved by axial movement of the input shaft within and relative to the hubs of the input gears. This input shaft has a male transverse drive pin which selectively engages cooperative transverse female sloped wall drive slots in the facing inner axial ends of the axially fixed input gears.

  • Patent number: 4922737
Abstract: A lock arrangement which includes a lock casing (5), a key-operated cylinder lock (1) mounted on one side of the casing, and a knob or finger-turn mechanism (7-10) mounted on the other side of the casing, this knob or finger-turn mechanism being effective in activating a lock mechanism activator device, such as a follower (6) located in the lock casing (5), through the intermediary of a cylinder-lock dogging element (4) and a knob dogging element (8). The cylinder-lock dogging element (4) and the knob dogging element (8) are axially movable and are in end-to-end connection with one another. When the knob or finger-grip is turned to secure the lock, the knob dogging element is moved axially in a direction which causes the cylinder-lock dogging element also to move in its axial direction, to a position which prevents a standard key from being inserted fully into the cylinder lock.
