Abstract: A power amplifier for use in wireless communication devices is disclosed that reduces the noise generated at the output of the amplifier in the receive band of the wireless communication device. A resonant circuit is inserted between the base ballast resister and the lumped resister. The resonant frequency of the resonant circuit is adjusted to correspond to the frequency offset between the transmission frequency and the frequency corresponding to the peak noise in the receive band of the communication device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel methods for the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection. Specifically, the present invention relates to novel non-invasive methods for the detection of the presence or absence of a Helicobacter pylori antigen or a metabolite produced by the bacterium in a biological sample with a biosensor-based measurement. The present invention also related to the use of a biosensor containing specific antibodies against H. pylori or antigen-binding fragments thereof immobilized thereto together with biomolecule-repellent polymers preventing the non-specific binding. The invention also relates to test kits useful in the methods.

Abstract: A multi-stage hinge assembly connected between first and second shell portions includes a first component, a second component and a connecting portion. At least one part of the first component is fixed to the first shell portion. A pivot extends from one side of the first component along a rotating axis. A protrusion is disposed on the pivot. At least one part of the second component is fixed to the second shell portion. The connecting portion is disposed beside the second component and pivots on the pivot. When the first component rotates relative to the second component, the pivot or connecting portion rotates about the rotating axis. First and second trenches are disposed in the connecting portion and separate it into first and second connecting portions. The first and second trenches are connected together and have different widths. The protrusion slides in the first or second trench.
Abstract: Systems and methods for using a graphics processor to perform RAID parity functions may improve disk access performance. A method is provided for configuring a graphics processor to perform XOR parity computations when data is written to the RAID array. Another method is provided for configuring the graphics processor to perform the XOR parity computations to restore data when a disk is damaged. Using the graphics processor as a coprocessor to offload parity computations from a central processing unit may improve disk access performance and overall system performance.

Abstract: A display panel includes: data lines adapted to transmit a data signal; scan lines adapted to transmit a select signal; and pixels, each pixel being coupled to one of the scan lines and one of the data lines, and each pixel including: light emitting elements adapted to emit light corresponding to a current supplied thereto; a pixel driver adapted to input the data signal while the select signal is being supplied and to output a first current corresponding to the data signal; and switching units adapted to transmit the first current to the light emitting elements, each of the switching units including first transistors respectively coupled between the pixel driver and the light emitting elements, and having different type channels.
Abstract: A variable optical attenuator for adjusting a power of light which is output from an output end of a first optical fiber and is to be led to an input end of a second optical fiber, includes a reflection member which reflects the light output from the output end of the first optical fiber, a density filter which transmits the light reflected from the reflection member and controls the power of the light which is transmitted by the density filter depending on a light-transmitting position on the density filter, and an optical member which reflects the light transmitted by the density filter to lead the light to the reflection member. The reflection member is disposed tiltably, the power of the light transmitted by the density filter attenuates along a direction in which the light-transmitting position is changed, and the light-transmitting position of the light is changed by tilting the reflection member.
Abstract: Various compressed air systems for commercial vehicles are disclosed. In one embodiment, a compressed air system is provided that includes a compressor, an air dryer apparatus, a purge reservoir, and an indicator device. The indicator device comprises a moisture-indicating material that is in contact with the purge air within the purge reservoir.
Abstract: An apparatus for biasing a transistor, comprising: a controllable bias generator; a test circuit; a digital Mth order differentiator responsive to an output of the test circuit; and a controller responsive to the digital Mth order differentiator for controlling the controllable bias generator; wherein the test circuit is configured to calculate an Lth order derivative of the transistor's performance.
Abstract: A probe for inspecting a bore includes a housing dimensioned for insertion into the bore and a plurality of stabilization legs having a first end attached to the housing and a second end extendable from the housing. The stabilization legs are configured to contact the inner surface of the bore. A plurality of sensor arms is extendable from the housing and is rotatable relative to the stabilization legs. A motor provides for rotating the sensor arms relative to the stabilization legs.

Abstract: A grille member that can be used, for example, in a cyclone dust-collecting apparatus and a vacuum cleaner comprises a body around which a rotating current is formed, and a plurality of air passages formed at the body to guide the rotating current into the body. In an embodiment, the air passages have a leading surface facing toward a flow direction of the rotating air current and a tail surface upstream from the leading surface relative to the rotating air current, such that at least one plane extending along the tail surface and a line along the flow direction of the rotating air current meet at an obtuse angle. In this way, stagnant vortices are not generated in the vicinity of the tail surfaces of the air passages, and dust and the like do not accumulate in the vicinity of the tail surfaces of the air passages when dirt is centrifugally separated from drawn-in air by the rotating current.
Abstract: A seat belt buckle for use with a tongue of a seat belt, the seat belt buckle comprising: a frame portion; a latch being movably mounted to the frame portion for movement between a first position and a second position, the latch being configured to engage a portion of the tongue as the latch moves from the first position to the second position; an ejector being slidably mounted to the frame portion for movement between a locking position and a release position, wherein movement toward the release position causes an opening force to be applied to the latch in order to move the latch from the second position towards the first position, wherein movement of the ejector towards the release position is caused by movement of a release button movably mounted to the seat belt buckle; an inertia locking device rotatably mounted to the release button for movement between a blocking position and an unblocking position, the inertia locking device being configured for rotation in a plane substantially parallel to a plane o
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to optimize the analysis of substances separated by gas chromatography with a gas chromatograph, comprising a separating device and a mass spectrometer situated down there from. To this end, a detector that detects the separated substances in a nondestructive manner is placed in-line between the output of the separating device and a controllable inlet valve of the mass spectrometer. An evaluating device situated down from the detector evaluates the detector signals and, based on the evaluation, controls the inlet valve for introducing predeterminable substances into the mass spectrometer.
Abstract: A folding device is constructed with a holding member mounted rotatably on an end portion of a movable case, which is formed on its periphery with a convex wall portion or a concave groove portion, and which houses a fixed member and a movable member. A holding member provided in the folding device is rotated to fix the movable case in a movable housing of, for example, an electronic apparatus after the movable case is inserted in the movable housing.

Abstract: The inventive method exploits the fact that in solutions or melts which contain certain organic substances, small nitride crystallites consisting of GaN or AlN are formed by thermal reaction and decomposition. A vessel containing the melt is kept at a first temperature T1. In the vessel is a substrate nucleus of be nitride to be formed, which is heated to second temperature T2 through the input of energy, where T2>T1. Epitaxial growth from the melt then takes place on the surface of the substrate nucleus. The energy input can be carried out in different ways.
