Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and a composition for producing and using a plant-based biocidal solution. The plant-based biocidal solution contains a bioactive material and a plant-based substance formed from the cellular material of a plant. The plant-based substance is capable of binding to the bioactive material. In some embodiments, the bioactive material is hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide can be added exogenously or generated endogenously. In accordance with further embodiments, the plant-based biocidal solution can be applied to a target, thereby impairing the target. In some embodiments, the target can be a pathogen. In accordance with another embodiment, the plant-based substance of the plant-based biocidal solution can form a microscopic cluster, a complex, or an aggregate for providing sufficient bioactive material to overcome the defense mechanism of the target.

Abstract: A formula feed for raising pigs with which appetite and body weight can be stimulated in piglets after weaning while decreasing the price, as well as a formula feed for animals, a formula feed for livestock, a formula feed for poultry, a formula feed for pets, and a formula feed for culturing fish. A formula feed characterized in that among a refined powder and a fly powder which are obtained by pulverizing konnyaku (arum root), which is a bulb of a plant, the fly powder is added to the formula feed. The fly powder corresponds to 40 to 50% of the total mass of the fly powder and the refined powder. Further, the formula feed is preferably a formula feed for raising pigs to which at least 1% by mass of the fly powder is added. In addition, 1 to 5% by mass of the fly powder may be added.
Abstract: A topical liniment composition that boost muscle relaxation, increase blood flow, and increase cutaneous delivery of herbal extract that contains polyphenols derived from red chili, black pepper, cinnamon, and turmeric includes a quantity of castor-mineral oil-camphor solution, a quantity of eucalyptus oil, a quantity of clove oil, a quantity of peppermint oil, a quantity of frankincense oil, a quantity of herbal extract concentrate solution, and a quantity of castor oil. Aforementioned ingredients are heterogeneously mixed with each other to formulate the topical liniment composition at standard temperature and pressure (STP). Additionally, a quantity of petroleum jelly and a quantity of beeswax can be heterogeneously mixed with the topical liniment composition to formulate the topical balm composition.
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an agent for improving skin looseness or aging caused by dermal cavitation. By attracting fat stem cells into cavities in the dermis, dermal fibroblasts around the cavities can be activated and thus dermal cavitation can be ameliorated. As the results of a screening for fat stem cell attractants, it was found that rosemary extract and licorice extract are capable of attracting fat stem cells and, therefore, can improve skin looseness or aging caused by dermal cavitation.
Abstract: A cell-support matrix having narrowly defined uniformly vertically and non-randomly organized porosity and pore density and a method for preparation thereof. The matrix suitable for preparation of cellular or acellular implants for growth and de novo formation of an articular hyaline-like cartilage. A gel-matrix composite system comprising collagen-based matrix having a narrowly defined porosity capable of inducing hyaline-like cartilage production from chondrocytes in vivo and in vitro.

Abstract: Mangosteen nanoparticles and methods of synthesizing Mangosteen nanoparticles are provided. The Mangosteen nanoparticles may be synthesized by drying Mangosteen, Garcinia mangostana fruit, grinding the dried Mangosteen to form powdered Mangosteen, suspending the powdered Mangosteen in a solvent to form a first Mangosteen solution, spraying the Mangosteen solution into boiling water under ultrasonic conditions to form a second Mangosteen solution, resting the second Mangosteen solution at room temperature (about 20° C.), and freeze-drying the second Mangosteen solution to obtain Mangosteen nanoparticles. The drying step may include either air-drying or freeze-drying the Mangosteen. The Mangosteen fruit peel may be used in the drying step instead of the inner Mangosteen fruit. The resulting nanoparticles may be used in pharmaceutical compositions, and may be useful for their antioxidant and antibacterial activities.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a water-solubilized solution of mastic gum using a novel solvent system. The water-solubilized solution contains no organic solvent such as ethanol. With the new solvent system, a water-solubilized solution of mastic gum can be prepared with no organic solvents such as ethanol, but with a high amount of mastic gum dissolved therein.
Abstract: A process for producing a distilled ethanol product comprising an antioxidant component and an ethanol component is described. In the process, plant matter containing antioxidants is washed, frozen and exposed to an input volume of ethanol. Antioxidants are ethanolically extracted from the frozen plant matter. The plant matter and the liquid ethanol fractions are then separated and the plant matter having antioxidants extracted therefrom is used to produce ethanol which is subsequently used to extract antioxidants from a second batch of plant matter. The ethanol fraction having antioxidants therein is stored or diluted for later use.
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of minimal residual disease (MRD) diagnostics, which is progressively more applied for the evaluation of treatment effectiveness in patients with a hematological malignancy, such as B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL), B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), and multiple myeloma (MM). Provided are unique reagent compositions with carefully selected and thoroughly tested combinations of antibodies, for ?8-color flow cytometric stainings as well as for 10-color and 12-color flow cyometric stainings, which can reach sensitivities of at least 10?4, even down to 10?5.
