  • Patent number: 10828328
Abstract: The method of preparing biogenic silver nanoparticles includes preparing an aqueous plant extract by boiling cut leaves of Alternanthera bettzickiana (Regel) G. Nicholson in distilled water, retaining the aqueous extract. The aqueous plant extracts were mixed with aqueous solutions of silver ions derived from different silver salt precursors (e.g., silver nitrate, silver sulfate, etc.). The resulting biogenic silver nanoparticles exhibit antimicrobial activity against various strains of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, including some strains of drug-resistant microorganisms. The biogenic silver nanoparticles also exhibit anticancer activity against certain human cancer cell lines. Surprisingly, biogenic silver nanoparticles prepared from nitrate precursor exhibited greater anticancer activity than nanoparticles from sulfate precursor, while biogenic silver nanoparticles prepared from sulfate precursor exhibited greater antibacterial activity than nanoparticles from nitrate precursor.

  • Patent number: 10813969
Abstract: A method for producing an artificial sebum film is provided with in raw material component and relative ratio, 78.4%-2% of triglyceride, 1%-15% of wax and ester, 20%-35% of squalane, 0.1%-7% of free fatty acid, 0.1%-6% of phospholipid, 0.1%-10% of cholesterol ester, 0.1%-10% of cholesterol, 0.1%-10% of antioxidant and 0.1%-5% of cellular activity regulator. The invention modifies the proportion of raw material composition of the artificial sebum film to reduce the negative effect generated by oxidation, and increase the proportion of squalane, so that the skin under high pollution can restore to the normal equilibrium state. Further, antioxidants and cellular active regulators are added to prolong the oxidation time of artificial sebum film and replenish the adenosine triphosphate in the cells.

  • Patent number: 10758583
Abstract: A so-called molecular-targeted drug acting on a signal transduction pathway in a cell has been developed. However, a side effect of the molecular-targeted drug is not negligible for a patient. Thus, there has been a demand for a substance that exhibits a significant growth inhibitory effect on a cancer cell with fewer side effects as a health food and a pharmaceutical composition. It has been found that a hexane extract fraction of a watermelon sprout has an effect of specifically inhibiting the cell growth of the cancer cell and such an effect is primarily caused by phytol and lutein. A processed food and pharmaceutical composition having these substances as main components can exert an anticancer action without causing side effects.
