  • Patent number: 11974319
Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses for performing listen-before-talk procedures on bandwidth parts. These techniques include a user equipment (UE) initiating a first listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure on an active bandwidth part used in a radio resource control (RRC) connection between a UE and a base station. During the first LBT procedure, the UE receives a configuration message from the base station instructing the UE to change the active bandwidth part from the first bandwidth part to a second bandwidth part. Responsively, the UE changes the active bandwidth part and initiates a second LBT procedure on the second bandwidth part.

  • Patent number: 11956782
Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) sidelink communication. The processing circuitry is to determine a set of candidate resources of the UE from a sidelink resource pool, the sidelink resource divided into multiple time slots, frequency channels, and frequency sub-channels. Sidelink control information (SCI) is encoded for transmission to a second UE via a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). The SCI indicates a plurality of transmission resources of the set of candidate resources. A transport block is mapped across the plurality of transmission resources. A physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) is encoded for transmission to the second UE using the plurality of transmission resources, the PSSCH encoded to include the mapped transport block.

  • Patent number: 11946316
Abstract: A low-power radio-frequency (RF) receiver is characterized by a decreased current consumption over prior art RF receivers, such that the RF receiver may be used in control devices, such as battery-powered motorized window treatments and two-wire dimmer switches. The RF receiver uses an RF sub-sampling technique to check for the RF signals and then put the RF receiver to sleep for a sleep time that is longer than a packet length of a transmitted packet to thus conserve battery power and lengthen the lifetime of the batteries. The RF receiver compares detected RF energy to a detect threshold that may be increased to decrease the sensitivity of the RF receiver and increase the lifetime of the batteries. After detecting that an RF signal is being transmitted, the RF receiver is put to sleep for a snooze time period that is longer than the sleep time and just slightly shorter than the time between two consecutive transmitted packets to further conserve battery power.

  • Patent number: 11910201
Abstract: A customer location is identified that can be served by a base-station in a fixed wireless communication system. Embodiments of the invention generate a viewshed for an antenna of the base-station, compute an area of a rooftop at the customer location that is included in the generated viewshed, and identify the customer location as able to be served, or not, by the base-station, based on the area of the rooftop at the customer location that is included in the generated viewshed. Further, a parcel of land on which to install a fixed wireless communication base-station can be identified. Each candidate base-station parcel of land in a list (“candidate base-station locations”) is evaluated and ranked. An evaluated candidate base-station location having a particular ranking is selected as the location on which to install the base-station.

  • Patent number: 11870630
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting an EHT PPDU to a wireless LAN system are presented. Particularly, a transmission device generates an EHT PPDU, and transmits the EHT PPDU to a reception device through a 320 MHz band of which a partial band is punctured on the basis of an RF. A legacy preamble includes an L-STF and an L-LTF. The legacy preamble is generated by applying a first phase rotation value. The first phase rotation value is determined on the basis of a first method and a second method. The first method is for acquiring an optimum PAPR in the L-LTF. The second method is for acquiring an optimum PAPR on the basis of a maximum transmission bandwidth supported by the RF. The first phase rotation value is acquired on the basis of a second phase rotation value and a third rotation value. The second phase rotation value is a phase rotation value which repeats a phase rotation value that is defined with respect to an 80 MHz band in an 802.11ax system.
