  • Patent number: 10360448
Abstract: An image processing system or electronic device may implement processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may receive an image, such as financial document image. The processing circuitry may determine a character count for the financial document image or particular portions of the financial document image without recognizing any particular character in the financial document image. In that regard, the processing circuitry may determine a top left score for pixels in the financial document, the top left score indicating or representing a likelihood that a particular pixel corresponds to a top left corner of a text character. The processing circuitry may also determine top right score for image pixels. Then, the processing circuitry may identify one or more text chunks using the top left and top rights scores for pixels in the financial document image. The processing circuitry may determine a character count for the identified text chunks.

  • Patent number: 10354378
Abstract: A five-index quantitative analysis of OCT angiograms is disclosed. One method of analyzing an anatomical region of interest of a subject includes acquiring vascular image data from the region of interest and generating a binary vasculature map from the vascular image data. A vessel skeleton map and vessel perimeter map are generated from the binary vasculature map. Based on the three generated maps, a vessel area density, vessel skeleton density, vessel perimeter index, vessel diameter index, and vessel complexity can be determined, in addition to detection of any flow impairment zones in the region of interest. These metrics can be used to detect and assess vascular abnormalities from multiple perspectives.

  • Patent number: 10346720
Abstract: System and method for detecting objects in geospatial images, 3D point clouds and Digital Surface Models (DSMs). Deep Convolution Neural Networks (DCNNs) are trained using positive and negative training examples. Using a rotation pattern match of only positive examples reduces the number of negative examples required. In DCNNs softmax probability is variant of rotation angles. When rotation angle is coincident with object orientation, softmax probability has maximum value. During training, positive examples are rotated so that their orientation angles are zero. During detection, test images are rotated through different angles. At each angle, softmax probability is computed. A final object detection is based on maximum softmax probability as well as a pattern match between softmax probability patterns of all positive examples and the softmax probability pattern of a target object at different rotation angles.

  • Patent number: 10346725
Abstract: The present invention encompasses a physical or virtual, computational, analysis, fusion and correlation system that can automatically, systematically and independently analyze collected sensor data (upstream) aboard or streaming from aerial vehicles and/or other fixed or mobile single or multi-sensor platforms. The resultant data is fused and presented locally, remotely or at ground stations in near real time, as it is collected from local and/or remote sensors. The invention improves detection and reduces false detections compared to existing systems using portable apparatus or cloud based computation and capabilities designed to reduce the role of the human operator in the review, fusion and analysis of cross modality sensor data collected from ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) aerial vehicles or other fixed and mobile ISR platforms. The invention replaces human sensor data analysts with hardware and software providing two significant advantages over the current manual methods.

  • Patent number: 10332267
Abstract: The present invention is a method to register 3D image data with fluoroscopic images of the chest of a patient. The ribs and spine, which are visible in the fluoroscopic images, are analyzed and a rib signature or cost map is generated. The rib signature or cost map is matched to corresponding structures of the 3D image data of the patient. Registration is evaluated by computing a difference between the fluoroscopic image and a virtual fluoroscopic projected image of the 3D data. Related systems are also described.
