  • Patent number: 9267280
Abstract: Structural panels, components and assemblies are described. The structural panel system comprises one or more panels having interlocking profile features providing convenient assembly of multiple panels to provide pre-assembled panels or structures, or components that are easily shipped and assembled at a site to satisfy a variety of building requirements, transport requirements, structural panel requirements, and the like. An integrated raceway gutter system may be provided for evacuation of moisture in conjunction with end-caps having a coordinating structure. Insulation components may be positioned at an interior side of panels and may be separated from the capillary break by a moisture impervious and/or heat reflective layer. Cladding panels may be pre-assembled, along with additional structural building components, to provide pre-assembled structural insulative (and non-insulative) panels.

  • Patent number: 9255408
Abstract: In a column structure, a steel column having flanges integrally provided at both width direction ends of a web is welded to a base plate. The base plate is also fixed to first anchor bolts and to second anchor bolts, with the first anchor bolts and the second anchor bolts disposed at the opposite side of the flanges to the web. The second anchor bolts are also disposed at the web width direction inside with respect to the first anchor bolts. Therefore, load bearing ability of a column seat can be efficiently exhibited, and the thickness dimension of the base plate can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 9255410
Abstract: A lightweight, raised roof edge segmented to accommodate narrow openings for scupper-fed downspouts. The edge's segments include at least one pair of elongated, inflatable or otherwise fillable, membrane-covered barriers, each of which spans about 20 feet, making it compatible with typical spacings between industrial building downspouts. Retrofitted onto a flat or low pitch roof at the latter's joint with an exterior wall, the barrier, still in its flattened state, is secured and sealed not only to the roof but also to the wall. So secured, the barrier straddles the joint between them longitudinally. Subsequently filled with gas or solids, the barrier functions as a check dam, collecting and temporarily storing storm water and/or funneling it, via scupper, into a downspout. Barriers with rigid, longitudinally extending, angular peaks also tend to break up and lift high winds, further reducing potential roof damage.

  • Patent number: 9249585
Abstract: A door trim floor gap cover system includes a trim piece operable to cover a gap between a bottom edge of door trim and a walking surface of a flooring material under the door trim (i.e., casing, jamb, and optional door stop). The trim piece may be one piece that bends about the door trim. The trim piece may be a resilient material that deforms while being positioned and is biased toward its original shape to hold onto the door casing. The trim piece may be more than one piece wherein a first portion is positioned on the casing and jamb and the second portion is then interlocked with the first portion to complete the trim piece, covering the floor gap. A pair of hooks extend behind the casing to engage a distal face of the casing, retaining the system against the door trim (casing and jamb).

  • Patent number: 9249595
Abstract: Folding pole assemblies for erecting various types of items (e.g., flags, banners, sirens, etc.) as well as facilitating low-profile (e.g., covert, inconspicuous) access to the items after erection such as for maintenance, replacement, and/or the like. Each assembly includes at least one pole (e.g., mast, pillar, column, arm, etc.) that tilts (e.g., folds, pivots) away from a base member about a pivot axis disposed adjacent a bottom of the pole so that a substantial entirety of the pole remains on one side of the base member as the pole tilts between upright and tilted positions and/or between various tilted positions. This arrangement allows the base members of the disclosed folding pole assemblies to be placed adjacent walls and other structures so that the poles can tilt away from the walls and other structures in a perpendicular directions thereto.

  • Patent number: 9238898
Abstract: A rainwater diverter shell has edge flashing with a right-angled flange formed by a first upper flange that defines a first vertical plane and a second upper flange that defines a second vertical plane orthogonal to the first. A first side flange extends between the first upper flange and a base and has a first side flange surface in parallel to the first vertical plane. A second side flange extends between the second upper flange and the base and has a second side flange surface in parallel to the second vertical plane. A horizontal base flange defines a base plane. The horizontal base flange extends along an arc that subtends a reflex angle between the first and second vertical planes. A sloped surface descends from the edge flashing to the horizontal base flange and extends across the rainwater diverter from the first side flange to the second side flange.
