Abstract: Methods and systems for calculating, storing, and allowing electronic searches for metadata associated with media titles. The metadata includes scores specific to each actor and each genre of a media title, where the scores indicate the degree to which an actor's performance in that title corresponds to a particular genre. Electronic searches for particular actors' performance in a specific genre thus return more accurate results that more correctly reflect how well the actors' performances reflect that genre.

Abstract: A remote management agent apparatus for a remote management system is provided. The remote management system includes a remote device management apparatus and a management target device managed by the remote device management apparatus remotely. The system and methods include monitoring actions performed, by the user at a digital receiver, with respect to a plurality of content programs. The actions performed with respect to the plurality of content programs are analyzed. The analysis includes comparing a level of the actions with respect to a first content program of the plurality of content programs with a threshold. Based on the comparing indicating that the first content program is a favorites, an indication that the first content program is a favorites content program is stored to a data store.

Abstract: A method for notifying a subset of users of a messaging channel may include publishing one or more shadow channels for the messaging channel. Each shadow channel is configured to prevent transmission of an event notification to one or more unregistered user devices. The method may also include broadcasting one or more event notifications to one or more registered user devices when an event associated with the one or more shadow channels is triggered. The one or more registered user devices are subscribers to the one or more shadow channels.

The delivery token and content key are sent (18) to the delivery node and encrypted content is received (30), the encrypted content comprises content as initially encrypted by the CP and as further encrypted by the CDN using the content key. Abstract: A number of approaches for transcoding media is described, which allow various users to control one or more aspects of transcoding (e.g. bit rate, resolution) when delivering media content to a client device from a network edge server or other location. The client device is provided with an interface that allows the user to increase or decrease the resolution, bit rate or other settings of the media content. Upon receiving a request from the user, the system transcodes the media content in accordance with the request and dynamically delivers the transcoded media content to the user's device. The system also enables content publishers and network operators to impose restrictions (e.g. minimum and maximum values for various settings) on user control.

The server computer is configured to receive first data including at least one of an identity or a location of a welding helmet within a welding environment, and a triggering status indicating a triggering of an arc detection sensor of the welding helmet due to initiation of a welding arc. The server computer is configured to receive second data including at least one of an identity or a location of a welding power source within the welding environment, and an activation status indicating an activation of the welding power source. The server computer is configured to match the welding power source to a human operator using the welding helmet based on at least the first data and the second data.

Abstract: A three-dimensional interactive/digital locker room system that is developed for and accessible through the Internet, which accesses a database of profile/user data that is displayed in the three-dimensional digital, interactive locker room the “Interactive Locker Room System”. Users in the Interactive Locker Room System can move around in first person movements, chat with users, open lockers to view profile data such as equipment and statistics, search for users, share their profiles with college coaches, and receive training, nutrition, and equipment recommendations. Profile data includes videos, images, and biographical data. The 3D interactive locker room system generates and displays featured athletes and videos, and favorite athletes. The interactive locker room system is incorporated into a web application, mobile application, and a virtual reality application. Coaches are able to manage player and team statistics, manage schedules and attendance, and receive training and nutrition recommendations.

Abstract: A method for providing disparate audio broadcasts for a content item of a content sharing platform is disclosed. The method includes providing, via a user interface (UI) comprising at least a video portion of a content item, selectable links to a plurality of audio commentaries corresponding to the content item, wherein the plurality of audio commentaries are recorded by different users separately from an original audio recording of the content item, receiving an indication of a selection of an audio commentary from the plurality of audio commentaries, the selection received from the computing device, synchronizing the selected audio commentary with the video portion of the content item, decoupling environmental noise from the original audio recording, and providing the synchronized audio commentary and the decoupled environmental noise, in lieu of the original audio recording, in conjunction with the video portion to the computing device of the viewer via the UI.
